10 years since thousands stood in Springer Market Square to sing along to The Tragically Hip’s final show... 🎶

This week, Kingston reminisces right in Springer Market Square. In that same spirit, we’re pouring two wines crafted just down the road in Prince Edward County: two producers, two categories, one shared sense of place. 🇨🇦

Rosé (Gamay/Pinot Noir) — The Grange of Prince Edward, 2025. Estate-grown in Hillier, on 135 acres that make up one of the largest vineyard plantings in Prince Edward County. 🌹🥂

Cabernet Franc “KV” — Broken Stone Winery, 2024. From the single-acre Kuepfer Vineyard, planted on a gravelly knoll over ancient limestone milled by glaciers into clay and gravel: the bedrock of the County’s terroir. 🍷

Aperitivo hour, Italian countryside energy 🇮🇹🍇

Ciliegiolo di Narni “Asla” – Leonardo Bussoletti, Umbria 2025. 100% Ciliegiolo, light and juicy with soft tannins — dangerously easy to drink. Named for Aslan of Narnia lore, a nod to Narni, the medieval village where the vines grow. 🦁

Basilicata Bianco “Maddalena” (Malvasia) – Tenuta Lagala, 2025. Fresh, fruit-forward and bone dry, grown in volcanic soil at the foot of Monte Vulture. A family estate we’re proud to partner with — they joined us for a Sunday Tasting not long ago. 🌋

Come by for a glass (or two) 🍷

We’ll let the cheese introduce our weekend pours this week… 🧀🥂

Bordeaux Blanc “La Mouette” – Chateau Lestage Bordeaux, France 2023. A Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc blend from a tiny parcel yielding just ~900 bottles. A touch of oak frames the richness beautifully. One of our top white wines of 2025.

Bourgogne “Cuvee Antique” – Domaine Simon Gaudet Burgundy, France 2022. A single high-elevation plot, a Domaine dating back to the 16th century. Concentrated red and dark berry fruit, all power and elegance in one glass.

Return to reality from the long weekend calls for a nice glass of wine… 🇮🇹

“ION” Campi Taurasini — Stefania Barbot, Campania 2019. From Paternopoli, in the hills of Irpinia — old, pre-phylloxera vines within sight of Taurasi. 🍷

Pecorino Offida — Valle del Sole, Marche 2024. From Offida, a medieval hilltop town in the Marche — Adriatic breezes, sheep country, the grape’s namesake. 🥂

Two towns, two native grapes, aperitivo time every day. ☀️

Weekend wine features — two small producers, two Italian regions worth becoming familiar with. 🇮🇹

Bardolino Classico, Le Fraghe (Veneto) — Tiny organic production and a rare, higher-pedigree take on Bardolino for our market. Fresh, vibrant, built for warm nights. 🍷

Trebbiano Spoletino, Leonardo Bussoletti (Umbria) — Umbria’s own indigenous clone of Trebbiano, organic and fresh in style. 🥂
