This album could play all day today. Sun off and on, gently calling for the lo-fi, off-kilter indie-rock weirdness that is Glissandro 70. Think Animal Collective. Think Chad van Gaalen. Their Wolfe Island Garden Party show happens on a Monday (Sept 21, only $25) but no matter: treat yourself. Head over and sit and drink and think while the music lets your mind wander, gratefully. .music

TONIGHT! Oscar Evans takes to the stage at 6:00PM. This show features an eclectic group of musicians put together by bassist Oscar Evans, including Zachary Nevins on trombone, Spencer Evans on clarinet, and Rich Bannard on drums. Oscar’s setlist is a reflection of being hugely inspired by Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Lester Bowie and Mose Allison, and fuses free jazz elements with New Orleans/gospel jazz. This four-piece ensemble will also be interpreting some of Oscar’s original music that can be heard on some of his latest recordings.
