Did you know that you can tell the quality of your matcha by its shade of green? The more vibrant in colour, the higher the quality, freshness and nutritional value. We get our matcha through ᴡʜɪsᴋ ᴘʀᴇᴍɪᴜᴍ ᴍᴀᴛᴄʜᴀ 🇨🇦 - who sources directly from family run farmers across Kyoto.
The matcha you all enjoy so much from us at Fantails comes from Uji. It is an artisanal blend of first harvest tea leaves grown in shaded organic soil - and is packed with tonnes of nutrients including antioxidants, amino acids, L-theanine, and chlorophyll! It boosts metabolism, improves memory and concentration, detoxifies and provides sustained energy without that jittery buzz or caffein crash you often feel from the caffeine found in coffee.
We pay a pretty penny for such high-quality matcha, which you’ll notice is reflected in our matcha prices. The good news though is you’ll notice it in the flavour too ☺️💚
