Good evening to you, our dedicated and loyal ABCK Family!! We hope you are all doing very well!

It has been brought to our attention by many of you, that our name may have been mentioned a few times in this years Community Votes Sudbury Awards... Well, it appears that thanks to your unsolicited votes throughout the event, Aunt Bea's Corner Kitchen has placed respectfully well in multiple categories! 🤯

We must admit that after our decision to close our doors back in February, we assumed that was the end of it, and we've been trying to put the bitterness and frustration from the circumstances of our closure behind us...

However, the messages we've received from you along with the awards results, have completely surprised and overwhelmed us, and we remain forever grateful to all of you for your support during our short time!!

It's unfortunate that these awards are bittersweet, and it saddens us knowing that we can no longer provide to you our brand of good mood food. But if nothing else, these awards have proven that Aunt Bea's Corner Kitchen was a valuable asset, not only to Killarney folk and our tourism industry, but to all of you in the surrounding communities that made the trip to sample Aunt Bea's fare and enjoy our little town!

We miss each and every one of you, and we wish you all the best!

A short while ago, one Killarney couple saw an opportunity to help support tourism in their little town, by introducing a unique but familiar flavour of tried-and-true recipes that previous generations had grown up enjoying.

Through tenacity, perseverance and no shortage of stress, Aunt Bea’s Corner Kitchen opened its doors in late summer of 2019, and the couple’s dream had come to fruition.

Thanks to the owner’s exceptionally high standards for quality and taste, ABCK had quickly become recognized within Killarney and throughout the region, as the “go-to” destination for delicious, affordable, homemade food! And over the following two years, ABCK had gathered a large following of loyal customers, and collected an impressive list of awards for their brand of “good mood food”.

And as with any business, the current success of Aunt Bea’s would not be without its share of hardship. Equipment malfunctions, staffing issues, and implementation of covid restrictions would certainly add to the challenges that this little business would face, but they stood firm.

However, as the 2023 tourist season swiftly approaches, ABCK now faces greater challenges that would see further staffing issues, much higher operating costs, and the uncertainty of a fluctuating tourist season. Due to these unavoidable and unfortunate circumstances, it is with profound sadness to announce that Aunt Bea’s Corner Kitchen has decided to close its doors permanently.

This decision has been made through much thought and deliberation, and our hearts are heavy with this announcement. We would like to thank our loyal customers, our suppliers, and our fellow businesses for the support that you have given us throughout this endeavour. You will always be appreciated, and we wish everyone all the best in 2023 and beyond.

Greeting ABCK Family!

We hope everyone had a great long weekend!

It's been a busy few days getting everything buttoned up for the cold weather, but we wanted to take a moment to once again thank each and every one of you for your support throughout our 2022 season! We can't wait til Spring 2023, and some of us here have already started counting down the days!! 🤪

Greeting ABCK Family!!

Well, it's been a heck of a season and we've had a number of ups and downs! On one side, low tourist numbers coupled with increasing cost of fuel and supplies, mechanical issues, technical issues and most recently, serious health issues, have taken their toll on all of us at Aunt Bea's.

But on the other, more positive side, we've truly made our mark this year! We'd received 8 Platinum, one Gold and One Silver award in the Community Votes Sudbury Awards, as well as taking Gold in 4 categories in the Sudbury Star Reader's Choice Awards, where we'd scored a hat-trick, winning "Best Poutine" for the third year in a row!

Our cinnamon buns have gained the title of "Best Cinnamon Buns in Killarney", and our Pickerel Dinner special has smashed the expectations of residents and tourists alike!

But sadly, at the end of our day tomorrow, we will be closing our take-out windows for the final time of the 2022 season. We are eternally grateful for all your business and we truly look forward to seeing you in the Spring of 2023!!

We will have our Pickerel Dinner Special available today, starting around 1 pm, but unfortunately, due to recent events, our delicious cinnamon sticky buns and pizzas will not be available.

So come on out today and tomorrow to get in some last minute GOOD MOOD FOOD!! - see you soon!!-

Good morning ABCK Family!!

Some exciting news this morning! I was just talking with Paula she says she's starting to feel better! Her condition has been improving but she's still got a lot of recovery time ahead of her!

BUT, it looks like they MAY be cutting her loose from the hospital today!! :D Just waiting for clearance from the warden... I mean, the doctor! 🤪

**UPDATE**
- Paula will be remaining in hospital for another night so that the doctor can ensure that the meds are working properly.

Hello ABCK Family!

I would like to take this time to update everyone on a couple of incidents that have happened over the past couple of days; I will try to keep it as brief as possible…

On late Sunday afternoon, our superstar chef Paula, unfortunately sustained a rather severe injury to right hand/index finger. (I will save the gory details for another day). She was patched up and sent on her merry way.

However, later that evening while at home in Sudbury, she would require the assistance of the HSN emergency services, as she’d experienced a severe heart attack and was rushed to hospital. She is currently stable and in good spirits but has some serious recovery time ahead of her.

As for the fate of Aunt Bea’s 2022 season? We have been instructed by our illustrious leader to press on without her guidance and leadership! (Although we know she'll be keeping a close eye on what's going on! lol)
