Beautiful ditches. That is one of the charms of August as we reluctantly relinquish our grasp on summer. Shadows lengthen, evenings are cooler and the ditches transition with beautiful purples and yellows, a herald of beautiful fall colors ahead. As you explore the beautiful ditch colours, feel free to stop by our farm stand for something that appeals to another sense. Amy has baked many beautiful breads and other baked goods for the stand this week. There’s also some garden produce available. Stop by the corner of Griffith Wagner and Martha’s Road if you’re in the area. We won’t have the stand open next Saturday as we are attending a family function. Enjoy this fine August Saturday friends.

There’s a new item featured this week at the request of one of the members of the family. Maple Bacon biscuits! We trialed them earlier this week, and they were delish served warm with a little butter.

Rainy day people always seem to know when it’s time to . . . get bread. (Lightfoot paraphrased). The farm stand is open and Amy has her delicious breads and baked goods ready for you. Amy has a variety of delicious baked treats to suit everyone’s tastes today. There are sourdough loaves, cheese bread, oatmeal bread, focaccia, fritters, cookies, and even biscotti. What a perfect sunny Saturday morning for sipping coffee with some biscotti. We’re at the corner of Griffith Wagner and Martha’s Road. Enjoy the beautiful day!

A few different selections tomorrow (Saturday) at the farm stand. There’s a few family favourites from our days at the Killaloe Farmer’s Market. Just have to add that the sourdough rose so perfectly today. Not sure what the perfect combination of factors was, but it turned out beautiful!

A little last minute addition to the stand today. Our good friend Elena Afelskie has graced us with some her beautiful bouquets of flowers to sell. Prices are listed. There are a few loaves of bread still available and these flowers would brighten any decor.
