At ClearWater Farm, a project of the Ontario Water Centre, we engage in active learning with youth to inform and inspire a strong sense of place. We believe that a water-wise connection with the land is essential to regenerative farming and leads to sustainability and food security. Our Young Agri-preneurs grow fresh, healthy food, and support the economy. Our Georgina barn is being rebuilt to connect the community and our ClearWaterKids.org site is inspiring the wonder years generation.

🌟 Saturday Spotlight: Meet Ryan! 🌟

This week's Saturday Spotlight is on Ryan, one of our amazing summer students here at Clearwater Farm!

Ryan is a hardworking, positive member of our maintenance team who helps keep Clearwater Farm looking its very best. Whether he's tackling projects around the property or lending a hand wherever it's needed, Ryan always brings a great attitude and strong work ethic.

We're grateful for all of Ryan's hard work and dedication this summer. Thank you for everything you do to help make Clearwater Farm such a great place!

🍅 Tomatoes Are Coming Soon! 🍅

Tomato season is almost here at ClearWater Farm!

Our tomato plants are growing beautifully, and it won't be long before they're ready to harvest. Fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes are one of our favourite parts of the summer, and we can't wait to share them with you.

This week’s harvest baskets are officially being packed and we could not be more excited! 🌱🧺💚

Our team has been busy harvesting fresh produce, organizing this week’s shares, and getting everything ready for delivery starting tomorrow — Thursday, July 9th.

We’re especially excited to share that we are sending our very first harvest from our Vertical Farm! This is an exciting milestone for ClearWater Farm, and we can't wait for you to enjoy!

This week’s harvest is for Bi-Weekly and Monthly Harvest Share Members.
🌱 Farm-Fresh Highlight of the Week
There are so many delicious ingredients in this week's harvest to help create fresh, healthy meals and tasty side dishes.

🍒 Niagara Cherries are making their first appearance in our baskets! We managed to partner with a local Ontario grower to bring you the season's first harvest. We hope you enjoy this treat!

🌿 Purple Basil is incredibly fragrant and makes a wonderful addition to soups, salads, pasta dishes, and your favourite summer recipes.

🥒 Our cucumbers are finally here! This week's baskets include Piccolino English Cucumbers, a crisp, sweet English variety that is perfect for fresh salads, sandwiches, or simply enjoyed on their own.

CSA Pickup Locations & Times:

Thursday afternoon (open until 6:00 p.m.)

📍 ClearWater Farm Packhouse
Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Growing in Georgina and now reaching the world! 🌍

We are incredibly proud to announce that Annabel Slaight, founder of the ClearWater Futures Foundation, has been shortlisted in the Falling Walls Global Call for the Science Engagement - Engaged Pitches 2026.

This milestone celebrates Annabel Slaight’s unwavering commitment to inspiring children to connect with nature and become stewards of the planet. It also highlights the meaningful impact of the ClearWater Futures Foundation and its initiatives in driving positive environmental change.

The international recognition honours in particular Annabel’s groundbreaking work on Future Chicken in partnership with Wind Sun Sky Entertainment

Future Chicken is a highly innovative youth-focused climate action initiative using animation to entertain and inspire positive environmental engagement. “We are breaking the walls of climate fear with kid-led Bold Kindness.”

As we look ahead to the next stage, we’re keeping our chicken wings crossed. Fifteen finalists will be invited to compete at the in Germany to showcase our work on a global stage.

This week's Saturday Spotlight goes to Sara! 💚

Sara has been spending the summer with us here at ClearWater Farms, and we couldn't be more grateful to have her on the team. She is always working hard, brings such a positive attitude to the farm every single day, and is always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed.

Sara plays a huge role in growing the fresh produce you enjoy. From planting and weeding to harvesting, she helps care for our crops every step of the way. Her dedication and enthusiasm make a difference every day, and she's truly a joy to work with.

Thank you, Sara, for everything you do to help keep the farm growing! We appreciate you and are so lucky to have you as part of the ClearWater Farms family. 🌱💚
