❤️ Kemptville you folks know how to party!

Poor ol’ Goldwyns stayed up way past his bed time and needed a day to recover.

But we’re slowly piecing together all the fun from Saturday’s Anniversary party and excited to share with you soon.

Until then, a BIG thank you for celebrating with us! It was a bit of a blur but that also means it was a whole lotta fun! 😅

But after a party like that, we need a day to rest up, recover and be a good neighbour by cleaning up after ourselves.

Goldwyn’s is turning ONE!
Saturday, September 26, we’re taking over the parking lot again, and this year we’re going bigger and better.

Live music from Cadillac Rumble + Halifax Steer, line dancing, BBQ, drinks, giveaways, a few surprises and plenty of good ol’ country fun.

Doors open at 3PM
Bands start at 4PM
FREE until 6PM | $5 after 6PM
16 & under FREE

The Story of Goldwyn... the Holstein Bull.

We often get asked how we got the name “Goldwyn’s” here in Kemptville.

The answer? We’re actually named after a local legend: Braedale Goldwyn.

Born in Cumberland, Ontario in 2000, not far from Kemptville, Goldwyn went on to become one of the most famous Holstein bulls in the world. Known for his strength, good looks and exceptional genetics, he produced generations of champion offspring that went on to win major competitions around the world.

He became known as the “King of the Ring” and left a legacy that reached far beyond Eastern Ontario.

That story also belongs to the people who helped shape Goldwyn’s legacy, including Julien Chabot, the key figure behind Goldwyns and visited us here at Goldwyn’s many times since we opened.

While both Goldwyn and Julien are no longer with us, their memory and their story live on here at Goldwyn’s.

Join us on September 26 as we celebrate ONE YEAR of Goldwyn’s. The local legend whose legacy still runs strong today here in Kemptville.

🕊️ In loving memory of Julien Chabot.

One of the key figures behind Goldwyn, the legendary bull that Goldwyn’s Kemptville is named after. Goldwyn’s success in changing the dairy world forever was only made possible because of a select few individuals, and Julien’s contribution was one of the most significant when he initially discovered Braedale Goldwyn.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. We at Goldwyn’s Kemptville are honoured to have had him visit many times including our grand opening, and leaving us with this signed photo earlier this year.

Rest in peace, Julien.

Our Sunday Shuck Shack Oyster Night is officially off the menu for now at Goldwyn’s.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for oysters on Sundays, but we’re making a little room on the calendar for something new coming this fall!
