4,000. 🌿

Thank you, everyone, for helping us reach this milestone.

When I first envisioned the space that is now Komorebi, it was never about following trends. Matcha is not a trend for us. It is deeply rooted in my culture and has been cherished in Japan for centuries. What I wanted to cultivate here in the Okanagan was the quiet, reflective spirit of Japanese tea cultureーand that intention will always remain.

Together with Natsukashi, we hope to serve as a small cultural bridge, sharing a little piece of Japan with our community.

What we hope to offer goes beyond products. It is the experience, the hospitality, the atmosphere, and the feeling of slowing down as if, for a moment, you have stepped into Japan.

Thank you for being here and for becoming part of our story. Every visit, every conversation, every cup shared has helped shape this space into what it is today.

As you already know, you are always welcome here.

Komorebi exists to foster harmony, meaningful connections, and a sense of belonging within our community.

Choose love, always.

4,000. 🌿

Thank you, everyone, for helping us reach this milestone.

When I first imagined the space that would become Komorebi, my intention was never to follow trends. Matcha has never been a trend to us. It is deeply rooted in my culture and has been cherished for centuries. What I hoped to share with the Okanagan was not only the tea itself, but the quiet, reflective spirit that surrounds Japanese tea culture—and that will always remain at the heart of what we do.

Together with Natsukashi, we hope to be a small cultural bridge, bringing a little piece of Japan to our community.

What we wish to offer goes beyond what is served in a cup or on a plate. It is the experience, the hospitality, and the feeling of stepping into a peaceful corner that reminds you of Japan, if only for a little while.

Thank you for being here, for supporting our journey, and for becoming part of our story. As you already know, you are always welcome here.

Komorebi exists to foster harmony, meaningful connections, and a sense of belonging within our community.

Choose love, always.

Komorebi philosophy is all about noticing the sustainability of the small things—the way light filters through leaves, reminding us to reflect, stay in balance, and live in harmony with nature.

Our beloved guitar broke the other day—beyond repair. At first, it felt like a loss: a familiar companion rendered silent. But now, quietly, our greenery has moved in. Leaves and small stems take the space where strings once lived, turning something broken into something living.

It reminds us how nature works: time doesn’t always destroy—it transforms. When a house is left behind, nature gradually claims it; the same walls that once sheltered people eventually shelter birds, vines, and quiet weather. What was abandoned doesn’t end—it changes its purpose. A thing that served one function can become the foundation for another.

And we—like the guitar, like nature—can be more than one thing. Not only what we were expected to be. Not only what others assume is our “place.” Our reasons for being can evolve too, until the new shape of our purpose reveals itself. Beauty doesn’t just appear; it settles in—through the shift, not despite it.

So the broken guitar isn’t just broken anymore. It’s a quiet lesson: when one purpose ends, another can begin—and we can gently become the place where new life grows. 🌿

P.S. a new guitar will be coming too, for everyone to enjoy playing as always :)

Just reflecting on the words this cute little crochet doll is holding…

Embracing your authentic self means shedding external expectations to honor your true values, passions, and quirks.

This journey of self-discovery - it allows you to stop performing for others and start living for yourself, which builds immense inner peace and resilience.

When your outward actions align with your inner truth, you will feel more profound, lasting happiness in your heart.💞

Happy Pride Weekend! 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

Clematis season quietly arrived at Komorebi 🌿
Soft petals opening toward the sun, climbing gently toward the light. A little reminder that growth does not always need to be loud to be beautiful.

We are open as usual throughout the Victoria Day long weekend.

Come slow down with an iced drink, a good book, and a peaceful corner beneath the greenery 🌿

Rose petals floating in soda—a little something I prepared for my girls as we walked to the beach. It’s in these dreamy moments, watching the sunset with my dog while the children play, that time seems to stand still. This is where I find my inspiration for new Komorebi workshops and drinks. I hope everyone had a peaceful weekend with their loved ones.

We are open as always through the Easter long weekend, including Good Friday.

A gentle place to pause,
to sip something warm,
to sit with yourself or someone you love.

Spring is quietly unfolding outside our windows —
and inside, the space is here for you, as it always is.

Come rest a little.
