It’s the weekend, time for a little good news reading about fisheries from around the world.

This story is so inspiring; small scale fishers from Ghana’s four coastal regions gathered for the inaugural workshop of the Small-Scale Fisheries Academy, to learn more about how to work sustainably in their fisheries.

Slow Fish has advocated for local co-managent of fisheries for years and where it has been adopted is where we see the best results for coastal communities—including in Canada.

It’s wonderful to see fishers from around the world sharing the same sustainable goals.
