Well, that’s a wrap on patio season. We say that now… but who knows, maybe November will decide to feel like summer.

Today was really about everyone who showed up for us this season — and you really, really showed up.

You came for coffee, shopped at Knox Mountain Market, stopped by just to say hi, pulled up a chair and stayed awhile. We met so many of our neighbours this summer, and somewhere along the way, a lot of those neighbours became friends.

We feel pretty damn lucky to be part of this little pocket of the North End.

And none of this would have happened without Rene & Justin, the heart and soul of Knox Mountain Market Kelowna

A few months ago, we were basically their random neighbours asking if we could bring our little coffee cart over and pop up on their patio. They said yes, trusted us, and gave us the space to see what happened.

Turns out, quite a lot happened.

Rene & Justin, you’ve moved mountains for Urla. You’ve opened doors for us, helped us grow and welcomed us into what you’ve built at Knox like we’d been there all along.

What started as a little coffee cart popping up on a patio became a community we feel incredibly lucky to be part of.

What a summer.

We can’t wait to see what’s next. 🤍🌭☕️

Taking a little coffee break ☕️

Life’s been life’n, so after this Sunday we’re taking October off from pop-ups. We need a minute… so we’re taking one.

But first: one last Sunday.

Come see us at Knox Mountain Market this Sunday from 9–2. There’ll be free gourmet hot dogs while they last, plenty of Urla, AND we’re giving away two tickets to Okanagan Coffee Festival next weekend.

Then the cart is taking a few weeks off.

The good news? You can still get your Urla fix throughout October. Order beans anytime through our website or find them on the shelves at Knox Mountain Market Kelowna , SPROUT , Ratio Coffee & Pastry , Salty Caramel Kitchen- Plant-based Cafe + Rose Hill Orchard .

URLA IS HIRING ☕️

This October, URLA is moving indoors at Knox Mountain Market and becoming a full-time operation.

With that comes a pretty exciting first for us: we’re looking for someone to join our little team.

We’re looking for one full-time barista or two part-time baristas to work primarily morning/daytime hours.

Experience with coffee is great, but finding the right person matters even more to us.

URLA has always been about more than handing someone a cup of coffee. We love getting to know our neighbours, remembering their orders, catching up on their lives and making our little corner of the North End feel welcoming.

We’re looking for someone who gets that.

Someone fun, friendly and dependable. Someone who genuinely likes people, is willing to learn, can take initiative and wants to grow alongside a small local business.

Basically, when Stewart and Cassandra aren’t there, we want URLA to still feel like URLA.

Coffee & art this Saturday ☕️🎨

Our pal Rhian of Rhian is joining us at Knox Mountain Market for their very first art pop-up!

They’ll be bringing along oil paintings, oil pastel drawings, lino cut prints + a bunch of other pieces they’ve created.

We’ll bring the coffee. Rhian’s got the art. Knox has the cinnamon buns.
