The Art of Red Beard - we always loved frank luca photography and creative work - and when we added this wall during our 2020 renovations we wanted something colourful there. We found this image on one of his cool postcards at Far and Wide and asked if we could show it. He was keen! While performing said Reno’s we got great local cedar 1x4 from our friends Valley View Industries Ltd - Cedar Products (they also built our beautiful pergola)- the boards were an awkward length leaving a large offcut wasted. Inspired by the railing pattern on the Overlander Bridge which is made prominent in relief on the photo by Frank, we cut the boards in such a way as to utilize the off cut at the top and bottom and have nearly no waste.

One of the neat stories hidden at Red Beard in plain sight.
