Deb will not be at the Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market this weekend because coming up this Saturday, May 20th, is our Dave Burgess Memorial Dance! Do you have your ticket?

"We're just a few days away from a really fun night of dancing at the Barnhartvale Hall in memory of my dad who championed the arts in this city. Come dance the night away with an incredible lineup of musicians who frequented The Grind stage in the 90s & 00s. We'll have a cash bar, potluck table, coffee brewing, and so many good people! One of my dad's greatest pleasures was meeting new people so please join us even if you didn't get the opportunity to meet him or be a part of The Grind scene, all are welcome. Tickets are limited so snag one soon."

Happy Spring, everyone!

Here's some Bellringer updates:

This past weekend the Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market started up for the 2023 season. Deb enjoyed seeing all our returning customers along with conversations with some new faces! You can find her at the Saturday market, next to Bluebunch Farm, all season long!

On top of that, Erwin's Fine Baking, The Pond Country Market, & Nutters Everyday Naturals - Kamloops, B.C all carry our whole beans by the pound, so go check them out and support local.

It's almost been one year since our beloved Dave passed away. As a Grinder, you may remember the music festivals in the 90s that were held at The Grind in our sideyard, most notably our week-long Summer festival "Music Street"; well, we're bringing it back to honour Dave. We had such a special time seeing all our old pals at Dave's celebration of life and we'd love to see even more faces this year!

The event is Saturday, May 20th, 2023 @ the Barnhartvale Hall.

After a Spring filled with sadness, grief, and uncertainty, Deb has decided to continue Dave's legacy by resuming the roasting at Bellringer. Some of you may be unaware but Deb is the original roastmaster from our Grind Coffee House days. You may have seen her this Summer at the Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market selling Bellringer coffee and now with the changing of the seasons and the market done, she will be resuming Dave's beloved coffee home delivery service! If you would like to be included in her Winter home deliveries, please email [email protected] and include "Home Delivery" in the subject line, she will send you all the information you need to join our delivery list!

Thank you for all the kind words, messages, memories, and support you've shown our family these past 6 months. We miss Dave every single day but talking about him keeps his memory alive and our hearts full. Do as Dave would do and feed the ones you love and the ones you have yet to know this Winter season. Consider making donations to your local food banks during this immense time of food insecurity (link below).

With sadness in our hearts, our family lost our dad, husband, and grandpa this week to a short aggressive battle with cancer. At this time we are pausing Bellringer Espresso to mourn the loss of this community builder, roastmaster, and the heart of our Burgess family. We will update you as we figure out what this means for our family business.

He loved and appreciated every single one of you who has supported him over his time at The Grind Coffee House and Bellringer Espresso Bus/Bellringer Espresso. At the beginning of April, we celebrated our 30th anniversary as coffee roasters in this community and Dave was so proud of that; sadly, we never got the opportunity to properly celebrate this accomplishment.

We like to think he's among fellow Grinders and Busketeers we've lost over the years, sharing brandy coffees and listening to Tom Waits.

Raise your coffee mugs high and celebrate the life of our beloved Dave.

Some very kind words from an original “Grinder” that we love so much! If you haven’t been up to The Pond Country Market in Barnhartvale, you must! There’s so many neat treasure, delicious food, and of course our fresh roasted Bellringer beans.

Bellringer Espresso Bus - Dave was one of the original owners of The Grind located at 414 Seymour St. I was hanging there when I was 14 years old. Fast forward - I am 43😂 and still serving up Dave’s beans daily in my own restaurant. Bellringer Espresso is THE institution of coffee in Kamloops! Stop in for a cuppa at The Pond! We also sell by the pound to take home😀. You can find the Bellringer in season at the farmers market and various events around town!

Hey Busketeers, it's that time of year where the leaves are falling, days are getting shorter, and the Saturday outdoor Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market comes to an end today. *single tear*

Come savour your last golden latte, chai latte, pumpkin spice latte, hot apple cider, espresso drink made with our organic, fair-tade Bellringer beans, OR, of course, those delicious breakfast sandwiches - get there early before they're sold out!

🎃🍂*** if you have 8 or more stamps on your Bellringer stamp card, tomorrow's your lucky day - come trade them in for a drink on us (and as always, bring your travel mug to cut down on single use waste)****🍂🎃

Thank you for all your support throughout the season - we appreciate you every year, but it feels like this year we've had more regulars than ever before. You make our hearts so happy and we truly appreciate your patronage of our school bus. It's hard every year to put Buster away for the Winter and miss out seeing your faces.❤️

And just like that we're down to the last 2 Kamloops Regional Farmers' Markets of the season!! Sheesh, has it really been 6 months?!

Well, make sure if you're craving a Bellringer breakfast sandwich, or one of our many delicious drinks to keep you warm, that you head on down tomorrow to get your fix before we put our beloved bus to sleep for the Winter.

🍂Happy bittersweet October, Busketeers!🍂

It's a beautiful month of cool mornings and fall colours BUT it's also the last four weeks of the Kamloops Regional Farmers' Market. Come get your Autumn Bellringer fix while you can before we shut Buster down for his Winter hibernation!

We'll have all kinds of delicious spiced Autumn drinks to keep you warm tomorrow morning, and as always, our tasty breakfast sandwiches.

Don’t forget to bring your own travel mugs to cut down on waste at the market!
