From all of us at Ted's Burger Wagon
This is a hard one to write. It has been incredibly difficult to find the words... even so, I take a breath and begin.
Sunday, September 20th, 2026, will be Ted's Burger Wagon's last and final day at this location - 8193 Haliburton County Road 503, Irondale, ON.
We are very sorry this comes with so little notice. We know it feels sudden. It still feels sudden to us, too.
We cannot share the details of why we must leave this property. Please know it was not an easy call, and not one we wanted to make.
After 4½ years of building a dream, unwavering dedication and commitment, and greeting countless familiar faces at our counter, we are heavy-hearted that we will no longer be serving you.
This was never just about taking and fulfilling orders. It was the people. It was the conversations. It was the getting-to-know you and your families, the good days and the hard ones.
It was being trusted with the milestones - birthday candles on the picnic tables, another year together marked with a meal from us, and the afternoon an engagement ring came out right here at our Wagon. What a beautiful moment to witness. Families who brought their newborns for Ted and I to meet; babies who turned into toddlers reaching for fries, and then into kids who had their own "usual."
It was the meaningful connections and the belonging to a community in a way you just can't clock out of that has been one of the quiet honours of our 4½ years. Moments like these made this place feel like ours and yours at the same time. We will carry this long after our Wagon is closed.
The friendships we found here started with a burger and became something we will hold in our hearts forever.
To the locals who became regulars and helped our business grow.
To the cottagers who made us part of their drive in and their drive home.
To everyone who traveled to get here - from other towns, other provinces, and even other countries - just to eat our food.
And to our family members and friends who hustled alongside us during our busiest seasons.
Thank you. You all have made what we have done here matter.
We are proud of what we built at this location. Ted’s Burger Wagon is our name, our food, our goodwill. After Sept. 20th, 2026, anything operating at this location is not Ted's Burger Wagon.
