Main Street Restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes, starting from fresh locally sourced Seafood, to Pasta, Burgers, Tacos and Stir fry. Even though we’re a family friendly restaurant we offer many specials which could be considered fine food. Our desserts and Pastries are made on site too. Breakfast, Lunch or dinner, it's always fresh, we know because we made it! Our main goal is to provide you with a great experience, and see that you leave happy (and full!).

Fresh Local Swordfish has arrived. 🐟

We’re incredibly lucky to live in a place where fresh, locally caught seafood can go from the boat to your plate in the same day. A huge thank you to our local fishing community for bringing us some of the finest seafood in the world.

If you’ve never had fresh Nova Scotia swordfish, this is the one to try.

A little update from Main Street Ingonish ❤️

Tomorrow, July 5th, will be our last breakfast service for the season.

This wasn’t an easy decision. Like many businesses, we’re struggling to find enough kitchen staff, and with what is shaping up to be our busiest season yet, we need to focus our amazing team on what we do best so we can continue giving everyone the experience they deserve.

The good news is we’ll now be open until 9:00 PM every day, and our takeout window will be back open until 11:00 PM.

We know this will be especially disappointing for our local breakfast regulars. You’ve made breakfast at Main Street part of your routine, and we’re truly grateful for every morning you’ve spent with us.

We’re hopeful this isn’t goodbye to breakfast for long. If we can find the right people to join our team, we’d love nothing more than to bring it back later this season.

Thank you for your continued support. It means more to us than you know, and we look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner, or a late-night bite 👋

Today’s a friendly reminder that it’s Canada Day—so yes, you’re legally required to eat lobster, wear something red, and say “sorry” at least once (even if you didn’t do anything). We don’t make the rules… okay, maybe we do. 😄

The team is back, the kitchens are buzzing, and we’re putting the final touches on everything for another season at Main Street Restaurant Baddeck & Ingonish

After weeks of prep, cleaning, training, tasting, organizing, and maybe a little chaos 😅… we’re officially ready.

We had such a great time hosting the annual Cape Smokey Race Team Banquet at Main Street. It was so nice seeing all the kids and their parents again after such a fun first season together at Cape Smokey.

One of the best parts of the season was getting to know all these great kids — always full of energy, laughs, and excitement every weekend. They truly brought such a fun atmosphere to the mountain!

Thank you to all the families for the support and memories this season. We can’t wait to see everyone again next year. ⛷️🏔️

To our amazing community — thank you for your patience, support, and all the calls and messages asking when we’re opening. We truly appreciate the excitement as we get ready for another incredible season.

We’re excited to officially announce that both Main Street Baddeck and Ingonish will be opening Thursday, May 21 🍾

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another season filled with great food, drinks, laughs, and unforgettable memories.
