Hi friends đź’›

We love being a cozy, welcoming space for everyone. Truly — it means so much to us that you choose to spend your time here.

We kindly ask that you enjoy the food and drinks we prepare here, rather than bringing in outside food and drinks. Our little shop runs on the items we make and sell, and every purchase helps keep the lights on, the doors open, and our team working.

We also ask that booths and larger tables (like tables for four) be saved for larger groups when possible. When we have 28 seats taken up by only 7 people, it makes it difficult for families or groups to find a place to sit and enjoy their visit together.

We completely understand needing space to work or relax — and we’re happy to have you! We just ask that you choose seating thoughtfully so we can welcome as many people as possible.

Thank you for understanding and for supporting our small business. We appreciate you more than you know đź’›

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the Elevate the Cape Tourism Conference at the beautiful Inverary Resort. It was an inspiring day filled with industry insights, meaningful conversations, and incredible local flavours at the Culinary Showcase.
We were grateful for the generous shoutouts from some of our amazing partners during the Culinary Tourism: A Taste of Place panel, including Chef Shaun Zwarun, Kiju's Restaurant, Renee Samson, Scratch Eats Market and Jill McPherson, Island Folk Cider House
We also had great conversations with partners new and familiar, including teams from: Inverary Resort on Baddeck Bay, Mainstreet Café Ingonish and Baddeck, Table Doucet, Cabot Cape Breton, EAVE restaurant at Holiday Inn Sydney Waterfront, The Markland Coastal Beach Cottages, Trio at The Simon Hotel Sydney and many more talented folks from across the Island’s restaurant community.
A huge thank you to Destination Cape Breton and Cape Breton University for hosting such a dynamic, thoughtful, and energizing event. We left feeling excited about what’s ahead for Cape Breton’s food and tourism landscape, and proud to continue building strong connections that support local producers and the restaurants who showcase them.
