Hi everyone!!

It's true! We are closed for the next week. After an incredibly busy summer, we have decided that we, and our staff, need to take a little breather.

We will be back on September 8th, the day after Labour Day.

We want to thank you all for helping make this one of our best summers ever, and we can't wait to see you in September!

It's true we are closing for a week. After an incredibly busy summer, we have decided that we, and our staff, need to take a little breather.

WE'RE STILL OPEN TODAY AND TOMORROW (FRIDAY & SATURDAY), but then will be closing up shop and reopening right after Labour Day.

We want to thank you all for helping make this one of our best summers ever, and we can't wait to see you in a week's time!

It may be wet and rainy outside, but here at Route 2 DIner, we're not letting the weather dampen our spirits!

We got a shipment of fresh Ontario peaches, so Chef jumped at the chance to make a sweet treat.

Fresh peach wedges, marinated in bourbon and brown sugar, piled high between layers of vanilla cake and whipped cream.

It truly is "Sunshine in a Bowl"!!!

Come on in! We're waiting for ya!!

It may be a damp and miserable sort of day out there, but here at Route 2 Diner, we're determined to brighten things up with a smile and some good food.

As Chef likes to tell it, his grandmother taught him a really important lesson in the kitchen. She said, "When you cook with love, you feed the body, the heart, the mind and the soul." Well, today's Sunday Roast will do all of that and more.

Beautiful pork loin, rubbed with "Scarborough Fair" herbs(check the song), and slow roasted on the bone to perfection. Roasted New P.E.I. potatoes and beautiful island carrots and turnips along with green beans. And a delicious house-made apple sauce with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

You'll taste the love. We know you will.

It’s gonna be a great Sunday Roast this week!!!!!

Slow-roasted pork loin, rubbed with sage, thyme and rosemary. Served up with potatoes, vegetables and our house made applesauce.

As we announced yesterday, today (Saturday, August 15th) we will be closing the dining room at 2:00 PM for a private function.

Take out orders will still be available until 6:30 PM, with pick-up at our drive-thru window.

Orders can be placed via our website ( http://www.route2diner.ca ) or by phone at (902) 621-2404

The dining room will reopen on Sunday morning at 10 AM as usual.

Slow roasted turkey with potatoes, stuffing, gravy and our house-made cranberry sauce.
