541 Eatery & Exchange is a pay-it-forward cafe working to help our neighbours overcome the impacts of isolation, poverty, and injustice by cultivating a community of mutuality in our neighbourhood. We've got some exciting news! 🎉 Thanks to a couple of grants, we're expanding our catering space at 541, which means more good food making its way out into the neighbourhood and beyond.

UPDATE: we’ve got a repair scheduled for next week! Thank you everyone for your support ❤️

Heat wave: 1 Our kitchen AC: 0 🥲

Our kitchen AC isn’t keeping up, and we’re feeling the heat back there.

We know that this heat wave is making it harder for folks to cook at home, and we want to help by doing what we do best: turning out breakfasts, lunches, and baked goods.

We’re lining up the repair as quickly as we can. If you’re able to help, we’d be so grateful for a donation toward getting it fixed. Every dollar goes directly toward the repair, and anything extra stays with 541 where it’s needed most.
