We’ve got something exciting happening in the cafe 👀

We can’t say much yet, but something’s simmering at 541. Once it’s ready, we think you’re going to eat it up. Stay tuned, this one’s worth the wait!

Priorities ✨

When someone asks if you want to grab coffee, there's really only one correct response. Catch that same energy at the cafe! Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 2pm.

Heads up, Hamilton! We'll be closed next Tuesday, September 29th for staff training, but we'll be right back to regular hours on Wednesday the 30th.

Have a great week, and we'll see you soon! ☺️

Turns out when you run a cafe’s social media, you get a camera roll that’s 70% food, 25% staff being forced on camera, and 5% mystery blurry photos nobody remembers taking. We wouldn’t have it any other way. 😇

Muuuuch better.

It's Supercrawl weekend! Go on and treat yourself 😉 We're open Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 2pm. Come in and say hello!

We've got a few things upcoming this month! There are a few things worth marking in your calendar:

✨ September 10, 11am to 3pm: catch us at the Community Engagement and Volunteer Fair at McMaster University's MUSC Atrium. If you've ever wondered what volunteering at 541 looks like, come find us and ask us anything.
✨ September 14, 7pm: we're hosting a Prayer Gathering with GOHOP and The Meeting Place Hamilton right here at 541. Everyone's welcome!
✨ September 24, 7pm to 10pm: Barton Village BIA's Taste of Barton is happening at Westinghouse, and we'll be there. Come hungry.

Save this post so you don't lose track!

We swear a breakfast sandwich hits different when you also pay it forward for a neighbour.

Come by and enjoy your favourite meal, and purchase some buttons while you're here! 1 button = $1 for a neighbour to buy their own meal.

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day, and we wanted to talk about it.

Click through to learn what an overdose actually is, what's happening right here in Hamilton and across Canada, the signs to watch for, and what to do if you're ever in that moment. Save it, share it, talk about it with someone.

We want to remind everyone that every number in here is a person. A neighbour, a friend, someone's family. That's what today is about, remembering people without judgment, and making sure everyone has what they need to stay safe 🫶
