A first preview of our 2026 Sunday Cha Chaan Teng Series — a nostalgic journey through the comforting flavours of classic Hong Kong café culture, reimagined by Chef Ivan Chan.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your incredible support over the past 10 years. To my family, my wife, my staff, and everyone who joined us in the last two days—you've made this journey so special. This year was especially meaningful: we had two Order of Canada recipients with us on both nights— and Dr. Kim Brook from Dalhousie University. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Chinese New Year dinner at The Orient without our Mayor, Mr. Andy Fillmore I am beyond humbled, beyond grateful—this was one of the most joyful chapters in The Orient’s history. I hope we keep this momentum going for many years to come. Wishing all of you a beautiful, prosperous Year of the Fire Horse in 2026!

Tonight we celebrated our 10th Annual Chinese New Year Dinner at The Orient — a decade of passion, culture, resilience, and community since opening our doors in October 2015.
Chinese New Year is about renewal, courage, and rising higher each year. And this year, we had the honour of celebrating excellence in the room with Canada’s own Ellie Black, recipient of the Order of Canada 🇨🇦
