This afternoon was a somber moment as Wing'n It Tantallon along with Friends payed homage to a special friend and Veteran who succumbed to his demons due to PTSD approximately a month ago.
This booth is where almost every Thursday we gathered with friends such as Brent, Darren, Jason, Shawn, Angela just to name a few...if I missed someone I apologize. Myself and Steve as Military Veterans done what all good Veterans do...we called each other names, tormented each other and laughed....that carried over to our civilian friends also.
We felt it was the houourable thing to do to dedicate "Steve's Booth" to him and to make sure that this tragedy never goes unforgotten!
Steve, you were always there to lead a hand and it didn't matter if you knew them or not...your legacy will live on!
This was the last picture he sent me when I was back in Newfoundland....he asked me to bring him back 2 piece of homemade cheese cake( as he had a sweet tooth) from a small diner that he worked out of when he was with Team Rubicon helping the people of Newfoundland deal with the terrible fire there last summer.
Thanks to Shawn Beaulieu from Valour Woodworks in making this awesome plaque. Shawn himself is also a Veteran who donated alot to Veterans as he is non profit.
Your watch is complete Steve we have the watch now...
RIP Brother.
