Many of you know there was a major🪫power outage last night, and we lost power too. With no internet…busy cellular networks…our payment terminals weren’t working.

A huge thank you to every customer who came back today to pay the bill or who completed the payment over the phone. It means so much to see the trust we share with one another. That’s what makes our community so special.

🚍Happy last day of school! ☀️

Reading through our little one’s journal from school and seeing everything she experienced this year has been such a joy.

When we took over this restaurant, I never imagined this would be the life we’d be raising our daughters in. Most of their time have been spent here—watching us work, growing up alongside our little family business. They know the sound of the wok, the rhythm of the kitchen, and the faces of our regular customers better than the playground.

Our restaurant isn’t just where we work—it’s part of their story. There were days when I wondered if we were missing out on giving them a “normal” childhood. But one day they’ll remember folding napkins, sneaking little bites from the kitchen, saying hello to customers.

To our sweet girls, we’re so proud of the kindness and joyful people you’re becoming.

And to everyone who’s been part of it—thank you for watching them grow every step of the way. Your kindness has meant more to our family than you’ll ever know.

Today, we celebrate with homemade meat zongzi. Growing up, I remember my grandpo👵🏼 making the best zongzi because they were packed with savoury fillings, salted egg yolks, pork belly, mushrooms, and lots of love. Every bite brings back a little piece of home and those special moments.❤️👵🏼
