We’re hiring a COOK! It’s been a busy start to the summer season and we’re hoping to add another talented, hard working, and capable team player to our group. Keenness trumps experience, but you’ll require some of the latter, too. We’re fortune to have excellent staff retention, this likely has something to do with competitive wages, health benefits, a set schedule, the discounts and freebies, a few awesome staff parties every year, tip sharing, and what have you, but most likely because our staff get along so well and they create an awesome work environment. Yes, we sell a pile of fish and chips, but you’ll also get a chance to whip up some more adventurous east coast classics. We’re a traditional pub kitchen, so there’s plenty of opportunity to make brown bread and pastries, sausages and bologna, pickled veg and fish, fried clams and chicken, all from scratch, made in house, it’s honest work.

This is a full time, permanent position.

WE’RE HIRING a full-time SERVER.

We offer a set schedule so you can plan your life outside of work, health benefits so you can take care of yourself, staff discounts so you can enjoy the experience and product, and few staff parties every year so you can embarrass yourself a little. Aside from all of that, you’ll also be paid a wage and have an opportunity to work at a bustling little pub with the best patrons in the city.

Our ideal candidate has plenty of industry experience, can work a mix of days and nights, is all about team work, has the stamina and desire to thrive in a fast paced environment, but somebody who can also slow things down at the table and connect with our guests. It’s our hope that you also enjoy the finer things in life. Food, drink, and hospitality aren’t just your job, but a personal interest. You must be able to tolerate hearing the same songs often, for our pub is not unique in that sense, there are a few that’ll slowly drive you insane and chances are it’ll be classic country music. 🎉 NYE🍸Business as usual! We’ve got martinis, sparkling wine, festive snacks, live music, and some great company. We’ll also be offering oysters on the half shell (while supplies last) and some braised beef short rib. Hot Club of Dartmouth will bring some celebratory hot jazz energy starting at 8:30pm. As usual, no reservations, but if you’re stuck waiting we’ll make sure you’ve got a drink in your hand. It’s been one heck of a holiday season around here, it’s been a pleasure to serve you.

We’ll drink a cup of kindness yet for the sake of auld lang syne. Happy New Year!

We’ll be OPEN TOMORROW, Tuesday December 23rd. We’ve got a traditional Cape Breton jam happening tonight, things should kick off around 6:30pm. As for tomorrow, The Wild Mustard Revival will playin’ from 8pm until late.
