WE’RE HIRING a full-time SERVER.

We offer a set schedule so you can plan your life outside of work, health benefits so you can take care of yourself, staff discounts so you can enjoy the experience and product, and few staff parties every year so you can embarrass yourself a little. Aside from all of that, you’ll also be paid a wage and have an opportunity to work at a bustling little pub with the best patrons in the city.

Our ideal candidate has plenty of industry experience, can work a mix of days and nights, is all about team work, has the stamina and desire to thrive in a fast paced environment, but somebody who can also slow things down at the table and connect with our guests. It’s our hope that you also enjoy the finer things in life. Food, drink, and hospitality aren’t just your job, but a personal interest. You must be able to tolerate hearing the same songs often, for our pub is not unique in that sense, there are a few that’ll slowly drive you insane and chances are it’ll be classic country music. Wanna hear than Lonesome Whistle blow?

🎉 NYE🍸Business as usual! We’ve got martinis, sparkling wine, festive snacks, live music, and some great company. We’ll also be offering oysters on the half shell (while supplies last) and some braised beef short rib. Hot Club of Dartmouth will bring some celebratory hot jazz energy starting at 8:30pm. As usual, no reservations, but if you’re stuck waiting we’ll make sure you’ve got a drink in your hand. It’s been one heck of a holiday season around here, it’s been a pleasure to serve you.

We’ll drink a cup of kindness yet for the sake of auld lang syne. Happy New Year!

Live music every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, most Monday’s, the occasional Wednesday or Friday, but not Tuesday, because we’re closed on that day. Got it? Tonight (Saturday), the Wild Mustard Revival will be playin’ some country classic from 8:30pm ‘til late.

Last call, it’s fall. Our last patio service will be Monday, September 29th. It was a pleasure to serve you folks during our first full patio season, it was a tremendous success. A big shout out to our lovely staff, the additional seats certainly pushed the limits of what we can provide, it was a solid team effort all around and greatly appreciated.

We’re looking forward to moving things back inside. We’ll get the wood stoves fired up soon enough!

BEHOLD! The Narrows limited edition merchandise. The kids call it MERCH! Show the world how much you love pubs, owls, and Victorian era architectural elements. We’ve got T-shirts AND crewneck sweat shirts, this way you can wear both at the same time! When it gets too hot in the pub (from the wood stoves and whisky), you can simply remove your top layer and you’ll still be representing with a relaxed fit t-shirt that says to the world “I’ll have another pint”.

In honour of this old house, we opted for longevity with these shirts. We selected some great quality garments, then the graphics were discharge printed, which means they’ll stand the test of time, no peeling! Eventually, they’ll have that nice lived in feel that gets better with age, much like good pub.

Only available at the pub! They’re not on display, because we’re mainly focused on selling food and drink, but you can ask one of the staff to grab you one and they’ll be happy to do so.

CLOSED Monday, September 1st. We’ll be having a very well deserved and much anticipated staff get together (party). God willing, you won’t be subject to any video evidence of the karaoke session.
