THANK YOU for all the amazing feedback on our Mauritian Fried Noodles! 🍜🙏🏻❤️

This recipe is very special to me. It comes from my family, and I’ve also added a little bit of my own personal touch over the years. Being able to share it with you is truly an honour and a beautiful way for me to celebrate my Mauritian heritage. 🇲🇺❤️

We receive so many wonderful compliments, whether it’s at the market, festivals, or shows. Some of you grab a box as soon as you see us, while others have made our noodles a weekly staple! 🥹🙏🏻

And honestly… one of the things that makes us smile the most is seeing how many of you have learned to enjoy them with our garlic sauce and hot green chilies. 🌶️🧄😂
We may have converted quite a few of you into spicy-food lovers! 🔥🤣

When we first started offering Mauritian Fried Noodles, I wasn’t really sure how much people would enjoy them. They are different from what many people are used to, although they do have some similarities to Chinese chow mein.
But I certainly never expected to receive this many beautiful compliments and so much love for them. 🥹❤️

It makes us incredibly happy to know that you appreciate the unique taste and flavours of our noodles and even more so that they’ve sparked curiosity about Mauritian cuisine and our island’s incredible food culture. 🇲🇺🌴

Mauritius is such a beautiful and diverse island, and our cuisine reflects that perfectly 🤗 a wonderful blend of cultures, traditions, influences, and heritage, all brought together in one place. 🌍❤️

🎂✨ Celebrating my birthday at the market this Saturday, September 12th! 🇲🇺❤️🇨🇦 Halifax Brewery Market

Storytime 📖 and hopefully inspire others🫶🏻

4 years ago, I had just moved to Canada, and it was my first birthday far away from home. I missed the usual celebrations, my family, my friends, and all those familiar flavours that made birthdays feel special.

So, on my birthday, I made a little promise to myself: to make Canada feel like home by bringing a little taste of Mauritius with me. 🇲🇺
That’s when I started working on my recipes, experimenting in the kitchen, and dreaming about what would eventually become MO GATO.

Just 3 months later, I attended my very first market as MO GATO. 🥹❤️
And now, 4 years later, I get to celebrate another birthday doing what I love... sharing Mauritian flavours with all of you. 🥰
