Good Morning! Happy first day of classes!📝

While this week is a bit different, and Seton cafe will be closing at 4pm for this first week.
We want to ensure you know when to swing in for your daily Tim Hortons ice coffee, Buffalo Chicken Poutine 🍟, or quick Pizza slice!🍕

McCain Starbucks is also open, while experiencing difficulties with our Espresso machine, there are still lots of great buys and visiting Karen is a JOY, and we promise will be a highlight of your day! 🤩

HAPPY MOVE IN DAY!!! 📦🎓📝

It’s been a great week around MSVU campus, as we all get ready for today, and welcome back our heart of the university. Officially, welcome from all of at Chartwells MSVU MSVU Dining

We’ve loved introducing our management team 👏to you this week, and we hope you’ve learned something new or know who you can look out for.

Rounding out our introductions is Chef Dave! 👨‍🍳Dave has been on campus for over 13 years, and makes some of the best food around! 🥙🍲🍣Chefs passions are ensuring your days and meals in the dining hall are enjoyed, sending out beautiful and flavorful catering, and ensuring meals are safe, and allergies and restrictions are looked after.

Do you have any questions or require some accommodations about our Rosaria Dining Hall? Dave’s office is in Rosaria, and be sure to find him pumping out busy meal times with his team. He can show you some tips and tricks, support in making your visits comfortable and safe, or brainstorm some ideas with you. Keep an eye out for our pantry teaching kitchens were Chef Dave will teach you how to roll 🍣 , some basic knife 🔪skills, stir fry making🥢, and air fryer secrets!

Enjoy the first couple days of the semester, all the orientation activities and your first meals with us! Our first dinner service starts this evening at 4:30pm!

Officially!! Happy Move in Weekend! 📦
We hope you’re all packing and getting ready to fill MSVU with energy over the next 2 days! ⚡️Remember, Orientation kicks off on Monday. And what a great day to get involved with the campus, meet new students, and just have a fantastic day!

Today, we are introducing our Executive Sous Chef, Chef Shreya! 👩‍🍳This marks one year with Chartwells for Chef Shrey, and we are honoured to have her on our team.

Shreya thrives off our international cuisine, and finding the authentic way you may be missing home. Have an idea of what you’d like to have at the dining hall? Chat with Chef Shrey! She’ll be happy to bring these ideas to our team so we can brainstorm how to bring some ideas to life!

Chef Shreya hails from India 🇮🇳, and her authenticity brings some our international flavors to life!

Have an allergy or restriction in your diet? Ensure you ask for our Chefs to ensure your time in the Rosaria Dining Hall is always safe and enjoyable!

Rounding out our managers for your MSVU Chartwells team, we are excited to introduce Wendy Jenkins, our Retail Manager 🥤 for Seton, and McCain Cafe ☕️ .

Wendy has been on MSVU campus for over 20 years. She plays an important role in all our operations on campus as she supports Claire in her catering operations 🍽️, and helps in Rosaria Dining Hall when she can. But day to day, look for her at Seton and McCain Starbucks locations.

Swing in to see Wendy, get your Buffalo Chicken Poutine 🍟 fix, or Iced Coffee 🍨needs met. She has a fantastic team, and we’re excited for her have the official title as the Retail Manager! Great job Wendy! We know you’ll have a great school year.

Next, on our Meet The Team series. We are proud to introduce Claire Cortez. Claire is our Catering Manager for our 2026-2027 school year. 📣

Claire joined our team last year after moving from Alberta to Nova Scotia 🌊. While we initially hired her as our dining room supervisor, her passion for catering along with her experience made her a natural to move into the catering manager position.

Claire is passionate about elevating her catering department. She’s excited for making her events look as best as possible and giving elevation, and class.

Are you looking to join the catering team 👏and secure an on campus position? The catering department is casual and on call and is perfect for anyone living on or off residence.

Next up in our Meet the Team series, Jennifer Jenkins. She prefers Jen. And Jen is our Assistant Food Service Director. 📣

Jen has been on MSVU campus for over 25 years. She started as a dishwasher when she was only 16 years old.

Jennifer has all the answers, and there is nothing too small she won’t help with. She supports all our departments, and knows our Seton Cafe and McCain cafe better than anyone! Jen is knowledgeable in our health and safety systems ⛑️, monthly promotions 💲, catering, and ask her about any of our meal plans and she will ensure you get the most for your dollar.

When Jen isn’t on campus, you’ll find her cheering her son on at the baseball field⚾️scouring the beach 🏖️ for everything fun, or supporting her friends and family in any way possible. She is your biggest cheerleader. 📣

Find Jen in the Chartwells office in Rosaria Student Centre, room 305. She’ll help you with your meal plan sticker, or answering whatever you can throw at her. We are so lucky to have her on the Chartwells team.

Happy Monday MSVU 🎉

Did you know Seton and McCain Cafe hours are adjusted during exam week? We’ve made some changes to help those later day study hours and exams.

McCain Cafe is open 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday this week, and will be closed for the semester after Friday. 🌯

Seton Cafe is open regular hours this week, and only Monday April 21 8am to 7pm. Tim Hortons will be open all summer starting Tuesday April 22, 8am to 2pm. Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. ☕️
