ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE

For the month of October, we want to recognize the good people doing good things throughout Guysborough County.

Every week, nominate someone who has done something kind, helpful or positive in their community. It can be something big or small. Just tell us who they are and a little about why you’re nominating them.

Each Thursday afternoon, we’ll choose one person and treat them to breakfast or lunch for two at Cast Away Café & Pub.

Guysborough County is a big place, and we know there are amazing people doing good things in communities all across it. We want to hear about them!

It’s Sunday, October 4th and we’re open 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM!

Start your Sunday with a hearty breakfast and one of the best views around. Grab a table overlooking the Guysborough Waterfront, pour yourself another coffee and fuel up for whatever the day has planned.

Two fried eggs, bacon or breakfast sausage (or mix it up!), herb cubed hashbrowns, fried tomato, toast and a small coffee with FREE REFILLS!

🥓 MEAT LOVERS OMELETTE – $16
Loaded with bacon, ham, sausage and cheddar cheese, served with toast.

🥬 GARDEN OMELETTE – $14
Peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and red onion, served with toast.

🍹 SUNDAY CAESARS – $7

Before you head out on an adventure or tackle those jobs around the house and yard, come down to the Guysborough Waterfront and fuel up with a hearty breakfast.

Two fried eggs, your choice of 4 bacon or breakfast sausage (or mix it up), herbed cubed hash browns, fried tomato, two slices of toast and a small coffee with free refills.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night for our Roast Beef Dinner, live music with Nathan Gerrior, and to support the Guysborough Waterfront & Guysborough Players Chase the Ace!

The Chase the Ace pot is now just over $5,500 with 35 cards still left! The next draw is next Friday night.

Nathan will be back with his full band 11th & Duke for our After the Storm After-Party following the Nor’Easter Craft B**r Festival on November 14th. Tickets are on sale now, and if you have a Craft B**r Festival ticket, you’ll save $5 on your advance After the Storm ticket.

Next Friday we’ve got Mike Melchin & Mike Arless bringing the live music! They’re also members of Vinyl Roof, who’ll be rocking our Halloween Bash later this month. Halloween tickets are available now too.

And stay tuned… we’ll be announcing next Friday’s dinner special soon!

🥪 SATURDAY AT CAST AWAY!

We’re open 11:00–4:00 today and we’ve got a pretty tasty lunch special waiting for you!

🔥 6” MEATBALL SUB
House-made meatballs smothered in our house-made marinara sauce, topped with melty provolone cheese and served hot and toasted. Messy, cheesy and exactly how a meatball sub should be!

Our regular menu is also available, including our custom grilled cheeses, juicy burgers and more.

🥩 ROAST BEEF UPDATE… YUM!

The top sirloin roast is in the oven and it’s already smelling pretty darn good in here!

Tonight’s dinner comes with Yorkshire pudding, garlic mashed potatoes, carrots & broccoli, a little horseradish on the side and everything smothered in gravy.
