♠️ Tonight’s the Night! Chase the Ace Kicks Off at Cast Away Cafe ♠️

Join us tonight from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM as the first Chase the Ace draw gets underway in support of the Guysborough Players and the Guysborough Waterfront.

Get your tickets early at the café or pick them up before the draw tonight for your chance to win and help support two great local organizations.

We’ll also have live music from Heather Ryan & Shane Savoury, along with Appy Night featuring wings and nachos.

Come down to the waterfront, enjoy some great music, good food, a cold drink, and a fun night with friends while supporting projects that help make our community stronger.

What a beautiful day down at the waterfront ☀️

If you’re out and about, stop in and cool off with an iced latte, iced mocha, slushie, or maybe even a cold beer on the deck.

We’re also looking for taste testers! Come try our new Guysborough Square, a delicious three-layer treat, and let us know what you think. We’re still fine-tuning the recipe and would love your feedback.

And don’t forget, tomorrow night is our 2-Year Anniversary Party featuring Shiretown with Musicians Corner - Cast Away Cafe opening the show. 🎶🍻

Square Roots Guysborough is taking orders for June 13th pickup if you have never ordered from them they have great prices on fruits and vegetables plus your supporting a local business can’t get much better than that

Square Roots Guysborough Order - June 13th

We had a wonderful sale last week, and we sold out of everything. The best place for all of our fresh fruits and veggies are with you. We will have a little more for sale next Saturday but to ensure you get what you want here is our order form.

Below you will find our order form. At this time we will be taking orders only.
Pickup will be Saturday, June 13 from 9:00–12:00 AM at the Guysborough Kids First location.

Please list the items you would like to purchase along with the amount.
For example: carrots – 5 lbs, honey crisp apples – 10 lbs.

Once we receive pricing on Monday, we will email everyone with their total and instructions for e-transfer payment.

Please note that once an order is placed and paid for, we are unable to provide refunds. If you are unable to pick up your order, please contact us to arrange an alternative pickup option or have someone pick it up on your behalf.
Orders that are not picked up on Saturday will be donated to a local charity.

As always, we will keep the cost of produce as low as possible and do our best to fill all orders.

Thursday lunch by the harbour is on from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM ☀️⚓

If you’re looking for something new, stop in and try our latest baking creation. We’ve been working with our baker Paris on a new treat we’re calling the Guysborough Bar.

Layers of oat and coconut, maple cream, and chocolate espresso, finished with a sprinkle of sea salt. Sweet, rich, and proudly inspired by the Guysborough Waterfront.

Today’s lunch special is a Veggie Burger topped with roasted peppers, mixed greens, tomato, and our house made honey mustard sauce on a toasted bun.

Of course, we’ll also have fresh coffee, cold drinks, baked goodies, and a quiet spot to sit by the water.

And don’t forget to get your advance tickets for our 2 year anniversary party this Saturday

The first big summer weekend of the year at Cast Away Cafe is almost here and we can’t wait to kick off summer down at the waterfront.

Friday night we launch Chase the Ace from 7:00pm to 10:00pm with live music from Heather Ryan & Shane Savoury, great company, and your chance to win cash and chase the growing jackpot.

Saturday night is our 2 Year Anniversary Party featuring Musicians Corner - Cast Away Cafe and Shiretown. It’s shaping up to be an incredible night of music, dancing, and celebration.

The fun keeps going on Sunday.

We’re open from 10:00am to 2:00pm for All Day Breakfast and Caesar Sunday with $7 Caesars. If you attended our anniversary party, bring back your ticket and receive 10% off your food order all day Sunday as our way of saying thanks.

Sunday also marks the return of the Shire To Shore Community Market from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Join us downstairs at Cast Away Cafe and along the waterfront as local farmers, food producers, and artisans kick off another season of markets by the shore.

Breakfast, live music, local vendors, waterfront views, and plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy the warmer days. We hope to see you this weekend!

Wednesday from 10:00am to 2:00pm we’re serving breakfast, lunch, fresh baked goodies, and plenty of harbour views.

This week’s breakfast special is three slices of French toast topped with berry compote. Add bacon or sausage to make it a full breakfast.

Our Harbour Breakfast is always available, along with our regular lunch menu.

Not hungry? Not thirsty? That’s okay too. Come in, grab a seat, enjoy the view, read a book, meet a friend, or simply get out of the house for a while.
