This Sunday, August 30th, is our last day of the 2026 season and we are going out with a bang.

Due to staffing shortages we made the difficult decision to wrap up our season a little earlier than planned. It has been a summer full of great moments and we are so grateful for every single person who walked through our doors, came out to an event, or supported us in any way.

Join us for this Sunday for one last Sunday Funday with live music, good food and good company at the Grand Narrows Waterfront. And don't forget that our 2026 Fundraiser Lottery draw is also happening then! If you haven't grabbed your tickets yet, this is your last chance! Tickets available at the Wheelhouse Cafe all week. **Draw will be at 5pm**

Congratulations to Mickeepers Entertainment and friends on an incredible 2026 Noises on the Narrows! 🎶

What a day in Grand Narrows! The Wheelhouse Cafe stage was alive from 12pm to 6pm with a beautiful mix of talent and we were so grateful to be part of the festivities. Friends, families, great food, cold drinks and music filling the Barra Strait air well into the evening. It doesn’t get much better than that!

The event continues to grow and it’s a real treat to the community and to everyone who makes the trip out to Central Cape Breton. Thank you to the organizing team for including us and thank you to everyone who spent part of their day with us.

RG Schaller finally made it to our stage this season and did not disappoint!

The tables were full, cold drinks were flowing, and the waterfront was exactly the place to be this past Sunday. Thank you to everyone who came out and to RG for a great afternoon.

A big thank you as always to our manager, staff and volunteers who make it all possible.

Up next is Noises on the Narrows on August 22nd brought to you by Mickeepers Entertainment. We are thrilled to be hosting on our stage from 12-6pm as part of this all day event featuring 15+ acts across two stages. Come early and stay all day!

Sunday August 16th RG Schaller is coming to the Wheelhouse Stage and we have been waiting for this one!

RG was supposed to join us last month but the weather AND power had other plans. Not this time. Come on out to the Grand Narrows Waterfront for Sunday Funday from 2:30 to 5pm. This one has been a long time coming and we want to see a big crowd!

The 16th Annual Show N' Shine Car Show is in the books!

Smaller in size this year but grand in spirit. The day started with a light drizzle, cleared up enough to enjoy the day, and the rain rolled back in right at 4pm just as we were wrapping up… we’ll take it!

Thank you to absolutely everyone who made it happen: the car clubs and owners, everyone who worked the gate, sold tickets, managed parking and traffic, our emcees and games crew (including the kiddos who jumped in to help), face painter, vendors, prize donors, Wills Addiction, the BBQ and beer garden crew, St. John Ambulance, everyone who did advance prep, set-up and clean-up, everyone who spread the word, and our funders, staff, manager and volunteers in every capacity, in case we missed mentioning you!

And to everyone who showed up, bought a ticket or made a donation, thank you!

A friendly reminder that our 2026 Fundraiser Lottery draw has been extended to August 30th. With a smaller car show this year, your support means even more. Tickets are still available at the Wheelhouse Cafe (Wed–Sun, 12–7pm). The draw happens Sunday, August 30th as part of our last Sunday Funday of August so come on out!

Getting things ready for Sunday's 16th Annual Show N' Shine Car Show at the Grand Narrows Waterfront! Rain or shine from 12 to 4 PM. Here's what you need to know!

Heads up that the boat ramp will be closed during the car show. Access will not be permitted under any circumstances!

Car folks, parking is first come, first served. No fee to register. Donations are welcome.

There will be vehicles from several local clubs, live music from Will`s Addiction, BBQ, games and prizes, 50/50 draw, and a small vendor market. Patio's open - licensed, kids welcome. Wheelhouse Cafe opens at 12.

🎟️ Lottery tickets on sale all afternoon. Reminder that the draw is NOT at the car show this year. It's August 30th. Cub Cadet mower, Milwaukee kit, and a handmade bench. Be sure to grab yours!

Our vendor market is filling up nicely for the 16th Annual Show N' Shine Car Show this Sunday, August 9th.

Six vendors will be set up alongside the cars this year, and there's a good mix:

🔹Josephine's Beaded Treasures is back again this year with beaded bracelets, necklaces, keychains, suncatchers and hand-beaded pens. Worth stopping by to see what a young maker can do.

🔹Cards by 2 is also back again this year with handmade greeting cards for birthdays, sympathy, thank yous and just about any occasion, and they take custom orders if you've got something particular in mind.

🔹Sea & Sand Jewellery & Moore with wire-wrapped copper and sterling silver, sea glass pendants, plus cutting and charcuterie boards and driftwood art. They've been at this since 2012 and it shows!

🔹Harbour Greenhouse will have blooming beauties from a local greenhouse. August is a good time to fill in the gaps in the garden or grab something for the deck before the season winds down.

🔹Got Your Back Apparel will have Cape Breton tees, hoodies and hats. Island designs you can wear at home or take away with you.

🔹Cowboys Cones featuring snow cones, run by Keanan MacKenzie. Another young entrepreneur setting up with us this year, and a good option if our ice cream line is doing what it usually does on car show day.

Cars start rolling in at noon. Will`s Addiction will be on the stage, the Wheelhouse Cafe kitchen open, and there's no charge to come have a look!
