Exciting! Finally able to see hockey again!

A reminder to spectators, we will NOT have the concession open as it hasn't been cleared for operations.

We will keep our doors at the main shop opened a bit later tonight so everyone can grab food before the game.
We are also on SPYCE and it can be delivered right to the arena.

Hang in there! We are eager to get back in the rink too!

To be noted, concession cannot operate until the cleaners hired for smoke damage have done their jobs. The concession will NOT be open for Saturdays game against Beaver Valley.

Season opener on the 18th, we will be fully stocked and ready for the season.

🚨🏒 WE’RE BACK! THE JACK GODDARD MEMORIAL ARENA IS CLEARED FOR ALL PROGRAMMING! ❤️💙

After a long few weeks, we’re incredibly excited to share some GREAT news with our hockey community and the entire Boundary!

🎉 The Jack Goddard Memorial Arena has officially received approval to resume ALL arena programming.

That means it’s time to get back to what this place does best — hockey, skating, practices, games, community events and everything that makes our arena such an important part of Grand Forks. 🏒⛸️

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, waited patiently, adapted schedules and continued to cheer us on while crews worked through the necessary cleaning, testing and safety processes following the fire.

🙏 We especially want to thank the crews who put in the hard work to get us to this point, and all of our arena users for their patience and understanding.

The ice is ready.
The doors are ready.
And we are READY TO GET BACK ON THE ICE! 🔥➡️🏒

📢 A few important notes:

🏢 The Recreation Office remains closed for the foreseeable future. We are currently operating out of the RDKB Building Inspection Office at 2140 Central Ave.

⛸️ Skate rentals are not available until Friday, September 18th! Please bring your own skates!

🎟️ All arena programming admissions can be paid at the Aquatic Centre.

Friendly reminder that we are now closed on Tuesdays in anticipation for hockey season starting up.

Though the fire at the rink has things a little uncertain on our timeline, we are working hard to get stock prepped and packaged for season opener!

🍦We had our ice cream running today and had excess. So naturally that means:

INDIVIDUAL ICE CREAM CAKES!!!

You excited? We sure are. They'll be finished up tomorrow once they fully refreeze. Then they'll be ready for sale. This is just the "for now" stage of layering ice cream and Oreo crumble.

Soft serve will also be running all day tomorrow too!
Tomorrow's flavour will be vanilla. Get a screamer with our cotton candy slush! Perfect treat 👌
