This is one of the hardest things I ever have posted🧐 we’ve always prized ourselves, On being an affordable Place to visit 😉 With good food ,And good prices🙄 but this year, We are faced with soaring prices🤷♂️ three small examples clams our prices were always affordable ,we use to be able to purchase our clams for 10 or $11 dollars a lb off the flats in Digby ,now the price is well into the 20s secondly🤷♂️ Believe it or not, chicken fingers well tenders because I never liked The fingers , they sucked ,😂anyways the problem I’m dealing with is food cost 🤷♂️🤷♂️ I made a promise to everybody in the beginning eight years ago that I would always provide A great meal and lots of it ,for a fair price🙈🤷♂️ I can’t do that now 🤷♂️food costs are so high that I would have to increase
My prices that no one that use to call Hymie‘s A second home for supper would be able to afford 😳🤷♂️ like ,Think about it ,,,I’ve had people tell me whatever the price is people will pay it, but I can’t do that 🧐Wages never went up ,🧐we are being squeezed at the fuel pumps Mortgages Are getting stupid,,, this recession were in people are going to have to choose between going out and eating or putting gas in the car to go to work ,just to survive🤷♂️ I get it👍 like I always did , The final thing that made me make my hard choice, I finally committed to ,Was the cost of cooking oil it normally was $20 a jug we always changed our oil twice a week to Maintain good quality which would be five jugs of oil per change which equals ten a week the cost of that oil now is at one place over fifty dollars at the other place sixty two so ,,when you add it up ,,a lot of money that comes right off the profit that maintains wages,, I can thank the big guy upstairs that we don’t have mortgages and money that’s owed on all our stuff 🤷♂️ yes I’m truly thankful 😳😕 but I guess what I’m trying to finally get out of my mouth is😕😕 Big Hymies is not going to open for the summer of 2023 🥲 I just can’t do that to people🤷♂️ we’re all walking the same road in life, and I get it😕 A lot of people say everybody’s raising their prices people will pay it ,but I don’t wanna be the reason people struggle so after eight years 😳 i’m not going to open ,it will be closed, i’m not selling nothing everything I have is going to be in storage and if next year, I figure a way to make things affordable for people to have a fantastic meal and not be the reason why things are tight, I will open again 👍Does that make sense 🤷♂️I hope🙄 because it came from my heart 👍❤️ and to all my loyal customers i’m not dead🤷♂️ if I can make things affordable you have my word😉 you’ll see me again 👍 it’s almost like the government is pushing the little guy😕you all know me 👍 And because you know me 👍I will give you my word if I can figure this out, in the future ,you will see me again, a little older but not Dead yet 👍 see you soon 😉and thank you for the support all these years  please share thank you see you soon 😉
