I often wonder if these kids will ever realize how wild it is that they get to spend their mornings in a café, eating hand-laminated croissants and sipping fresh-pressed lemonade.

Growing up, my mornings looked a little different. Burnt toast with peanut butter was a staple. Milk instead of water felt like a luxury on really special days.

Sometimes we come in when we’re closed to tie up loose ends, and the kids turn the café into their own little world. They play “restaurant”… except it’s a real restaurant.

Drew shouts, “Order up!” from the back hallway while Gabi skips across the café to collect her order. There are hand-decorated takeout bags, serious customer service discussions, and tiny moments that make my heart ache in the best possible way.

Melissa & Doug never stood a chance. ❤️ Thank you for supporting our family and our amazing team each and every day.
