It was a pleasure to recognize Gimli Beach Boy Restaurant on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary.
For 25 years, this outstanding multigenerational family business has been serving delicious meals, friendly service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to both residents and visitors in Gimli.
Beach Boy Restaurant first opened its doors in 2001, when Lucy and Savas transformed a building that had previously served as an English pub and before that, Gimli’s town hall into what has become one of the community’s favourite dining destinations. Today, following the retirement of his parents, their son Peter Makiaris, together with Lucia Makiaris, proudly carries on the family’s tradition of exceptional hospitality and great food.
Whether you’re a local or visiting the area, one menu item you simply can’t miss is their famous pickerel burger a true Interlake favourite and a must-try when you’re in Gimli.
Congratulations to Peter and Lucia, the entire Makiaris family, the dedicated staff, and everyone who has contributed to Beach Boy Restaurant’s success over the past 25 years. Your continued investment in our community, support for the local economy, and commitment to outstanding service have made Beach Boy a true Gimli landmark.
The next time you’re in Gimli, be sure to stop by Beach Boy Restaurant for an amazing meal, enjoy their renowned pickerel burger, and experience the warm hospitality that has kept customers coming back for a quarter century.
Congratulations once again, and here’s to many more years of success!
