One of the greatest feelings for me is knowing that something I create can touch someone’s heart.

Lynette came into the store and immediately fell in love with one of my acrylic paintings. It wasn’t finished yet, so I told her she could choose a few flowers to be added, making it even more personal and meaningful.

A few days later, she sent me photos of some beautiful local Kootenay flowers she wanted included. Then she asked, “Could you also paint my cat? She’s our baby. I would love for her to be somewhere in the painting.”

I was a little nervous. I had never painted a cat before, or any animals, really. Just bees, ladybugs, ants, and other little creatures. But I thought, why not? I’ll give it my best.

And here is the result.

Seeing Lynette’s reaction made every brushstroke worthwhile. We both had tears in our eyes, she was completely in love with her painting, and I was so happy to have created something that meant so much to her.

Art isn’t just about colours on canvas , it’s about memories, love, and creating something that will be treasured for years to come. ❤️
