MOBO Award-nominated David Lyttle shifts seamlessly between the personas of jazz drummer, recording artist, composer/songwriter, producer and record label owner; few in the history of jazz in Ireland have reached this level of international success. He performs with the best in jazz worldwide. This year he is already booked in about 20 countries spanning four continents.

David is the founder and artistic director of Northern Ireland's only jazz education organization.
In its most recent program, gifted children from throughout the country auditioned to work with him in a small band that he coaches and opens for him on his Northern Irish dates.

David first reached a national audience with jazz guitar legend Louis Stewart in 2006. In 2007 he released his first solo album, True Story, on his newly formed label Lyte Records and would go on to feature a long list of international jazz icons in his bands, including Kurt Rosenwinkel, Terell Stafford, Seamus Blake, Soweto Kinch, Jason Rebello, Greg Osby, Jean Toussaint and Tim Warfield. He has performed in twenty countries and worked with some of the jazz world's most respected artists, including Jonathan Kreisberg, David Kikoski, Jason Palmer, Jaleel Shaw, Jesse van Ruller, Jamie Baum, Michael Janisch, Dave Liebman, Gwilym Simcock, Kenny Werner and Liane Carroll.
