Dear Valued Guests,
The time has come to make the announcement we have been dreading to make. We are aware of all the speculation and rumours that have been going around the city and we feel all of you have waited long enough to know what our current staus is. Sadly, The Downtown Diner will not be reopening. The location we secured across the street,that we had been putting all of our time, effort and money in to has fallen through. We hope everyone understands this was not something we anticipated would happen. We tried. We really tried our best. To say we are sad and heartbroken is an understatement. We want to thank everyone in Fort Saskatchewan for the outpouring of love and support we've been gifted with over the past 6 years. The loyalty and encouragement that has been shown to us is something we will never forget. It's been an incredible ride with many highs and some lows, but through it all Keith and I will cherish the warm welcome we received. It is not easy writing this post and we know most comments will be well wishes, however this is a very difficult time and we hope this post can stay positive. We thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. Much love, Lori and Keith.

The Downtown Diner has an important announcement to make....As most of you know we have been building a new location across the street from where we currently are. We were hoping for a much earlier opening date than we are facing presently. We have come to the conclusion that by keeping our current location open we cannot fully concentrate our efforts to the new bigger and better space. Staying open is contributing greatly to the delays. Sadly, we have made the very difficult decision that we have to close our doors until our new Downtown Diner is ready to open its doors. This was not an easy decision by any means but we feel in our hearts it is the right thing to do. This decision was made in the 11th hour after we finally faced the facts. So, dear guests, today is our last day. Once we close tonight we will remain closed until our new space is ready. We are going to work non stop to get the new doors open so please be patient with us. We value each and every one of our guests that have supported us all these years. Stay tuned as we will be posting updates and pictures as we get closer to our opening date. We are hoping to be open in just a few short months. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sticking with us. The new bigger and better Diner will worth the wait!! Thank you, Lori & Keith.

Chicken and Ribs tonight!
Half rack of ribs dressed with our homemade bbq sauce, one piece Karen Fried Chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and fries! Wash it all down with our Salted Caramel Milkshake! Add a shot of Salted Caramel Bailey’s for a delicious treat!

The Barnyard Burger! Our in house made burger patty topped with crispy fried chicken, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato! It’s Burger ‘n’ a Beer ( or Milkshake) Wednesday!

Good News!! We are back up and running! We are now officially open for business. A huge thank you to Fortis Alberta for their lightning quick response!

And just like that we don't have power! Unfortunately the power in the diner and our building has gone out. We are working on the problem and we will post when the power is back on. Not the most ideal day for this to happen but we will get it fixed asap...stay tuned...EDIT: we are looking at about 30 mins....
