Well, its been quite the ride, but all good things must come to an end. Sweet Meats is closing, has closed, permanently.

To be honest, I am surprised we have been able to weather the storm as long as we have. Our business model simply isn't feasible in this environment any longer.

To my staff, I feel like I have failed you, and I'm truly sorry. You have given your all and most have been there for this store since 2018 and I know you deserve a better ending than this. But unfortunately, that happy ending has been taken over by compounding problems since March of 2020 and no matter how hard I have tried or how much money I continue to put into this business to try and stay afloat, I can not sustain it any longer.

Only the closest few to me know the real damage that has been done. I have pushed myself to the brink of personal bankruptcy over the last couple years trying to overcome these challenges. Without question, I was happy and proud to do it and sacrifice everything for the hope of success for Sweet Meats. But everything has only been getting worse. Our debts are getting are bigger instead of smaller and the sleepless nights are becoming a regular thing. Simply put, i feel that the stress of it all is slowly killing me.

The time has come for me to put my family first, and let Sweet Meats go. I am a full time single dad; I have to be there for my son. I also operate my drywall business that has kept us afloat here for so long. Something has to give. I really hope everyone understands how hard this decision was, but I know that it is the right one.
