Fort Erie’s healthcare has been in the news a lot lately, and I’ll admit, until recently I didn’t realize just how EASY it is to help.

We met Heather Kelly and the incredible SOS Save Douglas Memorial Hospital crew at Banner Day. They show up tirelessly for our community and are grateful for every bit of help.

You can show up at an event, donate, HONK on Banner Day, share their message or grab a lawn sign for just $5. I would LOVE to see Fort Erie blanketed in SOS signs!

Even if you haven’t needed our healthcare system yet, one day you will.

This is especially personal for our family. During our son Tanner’s life, there were times when minutes mattered. The additional time it would take to reach the new Niagara Falls hospital could have been fatal for him. That puts this fight into a very different perspective for us.

Fort Erie deserves accessible healthcare close to home.

We’ve been thinking a lot about what it really means to support small business.

At The Manic Maker, we’re working to get our freeze-dried treats onto the shelves of coffee shops, candy stores, gift shops and other independent businesses across Canada through our wholesale program.

But here’s the thing…

How can we ask other small businesses to make room on their shelves for us if we aren’t willing to do the same?

So we want YOUR help!
