Our hours have changed!

So honoured to be considered for this after such a short time in operation. Thank you from all of us at White Birch, and especially from our incredible staff who have helped make this place what it is.

Whether we win or lose, it’s the customers who support us every day and the staff who continue to show up, work hard, and power through all the ups and downs that remind us why we do this.

It’s never the accolades. It’s about the people, the food, and the community we get to be a part of.

That said… these things never hurt the spirits!

Sous Chef: Professional kitchen experience and leadership experience required.

Cook & Dishwasher positions: Experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right people! If you’re reliable, motivated, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you.

Starting wage: $20–$27/hour depending on experience and position full restaurant tip pool. Averaging $10-$13/hr

WINTER PASS INCENTIVE: Planning on staying in Fernie for the winter? We offer a ski pass incentive for qualifying team members who stay with us through the winter season.

Meet Becca,

Originally from Nelson, BC, Becca has called the Kootenays home her whole life. She’s been part of our team since the day we’ve opened, bringing plenty of barista experience along with her.
When she’s not at the café, you’ll most likely find Becca painting, camping, adventuring, or spending time with her dog. She splits her time between Fernie and Nelson, and when winter hits, she’s either embracing the snow or escaping it all the way down to Mexico.

She has recently assumed the role of our mid-week supervisor and we couldn't be more thrilled to have Becca as part of the team! Every time you see her in the cafe, remind her how awesome she is and she might come back again after Mexico :)
