Good morning everyone!
Re: Mama's Place gift certificates:

Just wanted to let everyone know that the new owner will be honoring all outstanding gift certificates. We're actually finalizing the deal today, and we're both excited for this new chapter!
But, to be quite honest, while I was navigating the unexpected flood and grieving the impact it had on my restaurant after 16 years, some comments caught me off guard – especially questions about gift certificates right off the bat, when we weren't even sure what the future held. This was beyond my control. But when I decided to sell, I made it a priority to do right by everyone who had a gift certificate. While I truly understand the concern, some comments were quite disheartening and also an insult to my overall character. If I appeared unresponsive, it was because I was dealing with an overwhelming amount of grief and stress, as the renovation process was a nightmare. Today, I will hand over the keys to the new owner Carrie Quinlan, who has already poured her whole heart and soul into this! I am so grateful she is stepping up to honor the outstanding gift certificates, and I appreciate your patience and support during this transition! 🙏

As I count down the final 10 days at Mama's Place, I'm filled with a mix of emotions. In just over a week, on October 1st, I'll hand over the keys and say goodbye to this beloved home of mine for the past 16 years. But what brings me immense joy and pride is knowing that I've not only sold this cherished business to someone who shares my passion and drive, but I've also passed on the torch to someone who's ready to take it to new heights.

The last five months have been a whirlwind of challenges, from the unexpected flooding and water damage that forced us to close indefinitely for repairs. Amidst the chaos, grief, and stress, I've discovered a new perspective. During that time, I was gifted the chance to truly live – to reconnect with family and friends, to be fully present for my son's sporting events, games, tournaments, and spending quality time. I welcomed new opportunities, savored family dinners, and rediscovered the beauty of everyday moments. And on top of it all, I've been thrilled to embark on a new professional journey, starting a new job that I truly enjoy!

As I cherish these final days, I'm overflowing with gratitude for the memories, friendships, laughter, tears, and hard work that have defined my journey here. Knowing I've poured my heart and soul into Mama's Place and achieved so much in 16 years fills me with a deep sense of fulfillment. I'm beyond excited for the new owner to put their own stamp on this place and take it forward. As I move on to this new chapter in my life, I want to take a moment to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who's been part of this incredible journey, I will forever be thankful 🙏
