Update: We wish to thank everyone (and there have been so many of you) who have reached out with expressions of support. It truly has meant so much. We are fully committed to opening as early as possible next spring. Currently we are considering a couple of different options, including rebuilding a custom unit similar to the last one, or obtaining a smaller mobile unit which we would use in place for next season. Our top priority is to open in April, and we’re not sure we can have a bigger unit ready in time. We are still waiting on the insurance claim to be finalized (the adjuster who had started working on the claim is on vacation for a month which is slowing things down!) This is obviously impacting how much work we can do on a new unit and we’re aware bad weather is just around the corner.
We wish to thank Alan Kearns, who started a GoFundMe without any input from us. We were reluctant to accept this act of kindness, as we felt such things should be reserved for those undergoing worse tragedies; however, we cannot deny that any assistance has been most gratefully received.
We will continue to update as things progress. We hope everyone has enjoyed the lovely Fall we have had so far. We’re just sorry we weren’t able to supply your favourite grub to go along with it!!
