Today we are incredibly tired and profoundly grateful.
Itâs one of the busiest days weâve had since our grand opening.
After losing our little shop in Jasper,
the plan became to build another restaurant
-that was the plan.
Find four walls.
Build another counter.
Make the sandwiches again.
Start over.
Itâs become about something much bigger.
Itâs the person who buys a Kindness Sandwich
for someone theyâll never meet.
The student or the single mama
who gets to eat when money is tight.
Or the person struggling with addiction.
Or the celebration for a young mom
who just graduated with a tiny baby.
Itâs the musicians playing to a room full of strangers.
Itâs the catering orders that take our food beyond
these four walls-into offices, meetings, celebrations,
schools, job sites and gatherings all over this city.
We are honoured to feed your crew each and every time.
The regular who walks in and already
knows what theyâre ordering.
And we now know them by name.
Itâs our staff who carry this place
through some very long days.
Itâs the people who knew us in Jasper
and their steadfast loyalty and support remains.
Itâs the people in Edmonton who decided to know us now.
Maybe rebuilding isnât recreating what you lost.
Maybe itâs taking everything that mattered about it
and making room for something new.
We miss Patricia Street in Jasper every single day.
But weâve come to understand that that Patricia Street
was never just an address.
It was people.
we found that again.
Because of you.
