DIFFERENT TRADITIONS. SHARED VALUES.

We continue to receive hateful comments simply because of one word: HALAL.

Instead of responding with hate, we chose education.

☪️ Halal — kindness, mercy, humane treatment and respect for the animal.
✡️ Kosher — a precise Jewish tradition governed by strict religious laws.
✝️ Christian traditions — emphasize stewardship, compassion and care for animals.
🪶 Indigenous traditions — diverse practices often rooted in gratitude, respect for the animal, responsible harvesting and avoiding waste.

🇨🇦 In Canada, halal and kosher slaughter must comply with applicable animal-welfare and food-safety requirements.

Different faiths. Different cultures. Many shared values: compassion, gratitude and respect.

Before judging something because it sounds unfamiliar, take the time to understand it. ❤️

🤫 FUN FACT: MHB HAS A “NOT-SO-SECRET” MENU

A lot of our menu ideas start the same way…

A customer makes a special request. Then they ask again. And again. And AGAIN. 😂

Some customers are just a little more persistent than others. You know who you are. 👀

And while we would NEVER publicly name the longtime customer responsible for relentlessly requesting certain creations… we can tell you with absolute certainty that it definitely wasn’t Layal H. 🤐😂

Eventually, we figured it was easier to just give in.

That’s how some of our MHB Secret Menu items were born — including the Flying Dutchman: beef, melted cheese and grilled onions. No bun required. 🍔🔥

And our secret menu isn’t exactly great at keeping secrets. You can find it when ordering directly through our website or on the self-order kiosks inside our restaurants.

So keep the crazy requests coming. Just remember: if you ask enough times, there’s always a chance we’ll get tired of saying no and put it on the menu. 😂

MHB SECRET MENU 🤫
The worst-kept secret in Edmonton.

FUN FACT ❤️

At Mr. Halal Burger, we believe a team that eats together becomes a family.

Since the beginning, it’s been a Saturday tradition for the owners to cook a family meal for our employees. Everyone sits down, takes a break and enjoys a meal together.

Today’s menu was homemade chicken biryani. 🍗🍚 Other Saturdays it might be burritos, pizza, or whatever the team agrees they’re craving that week!

During Ramadan, that tradition becomes an everyday one. The owners prepare food for the staff every day, and everyone breaks their fast and eats together. 🌙❤️

We also believe in taking care of the people who take care of our customers. Our employees eat free at our restaurants, and some of our locations also provide health and dental benefits.

We may serve burgers, but behind the counter, we’re building something bigger.

Our Team. Our Family. ❤️
Good Food. Fast.
