Hi, my name is Jelena (pronounced as Yelena), and I am the owner of Pom Pom Play Café. It’s been a while since I introduced myself here on Social Media. Today I will share a little bit about myself and the Pom Pom Play Café project.
I moved to Canada from Serbia thirteen years ago. It was one of those moments when you wake up and decide you are going to change something. My eureka, that morning was Canada.
I’m a wife and mother of 2 kids. Girl (11) rolling eyes stage. Boy (6) well, mama’s boy…
I LOVE meeting new people, good laughs, jokes, and parties. I must admit that the parties in my 20s and now are quite different. The point is I always wanted to be surrounded by people and their good, sincere vibes. Then I was thinking who are the people I wanted to be surrounded with?! And it just clicked – moms! I love being a mom, but we all know how hard of a job that is. That is why I wanted to create something where every mom will also enjoy her time. Kids enjoy just not being at home. We all know that. But moms, you all want to be surrounded by a nice, warm, welcoming environment that allows you to be yourself no matter how the day started. That is how Pom Pom Play Café was born.

The coronavirus changed everyone's lives.This is a very tough time for many of people around the globe. I know some of you are putting things on hold just like we did. Pom Pom Play Café was born just before this nowadays pandemic and during the whole process we had to make sure to adjust to the whole new world that is learning how to function. We are happy to share that we have everything set up for you and ready to go in the next couple of weeks. We are also going to be that place where you will feel safe to be. Sanitize, sanitize, sanitize was our passion even prior to coronavirus and it wasn't hard to adjust :) We will have to respect all Alberta Health restrictions that are in place and to work together to make sure that we all stay safe. It is new era that's coming and Pom Pom is so ready for it 😊 We are opening our doors soon with Lavazza coffee, tasty waffles and sweet and savory desserts, as well as daily soups and sandwiches 🧇🍪🍩🍰🧁🥧☕
