Hi everyone. It's been a long time coming but it's time to hit the formal pause on my dream. The Cafe will happen one day but for now I'm winding it up. Thanks to everyone who has supported me along the way. It has meant the world to me. I hope we can reconnect in the future when I'm able to unpause the dream again.

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I posted something. I was hoping to have better news, but we are postponed indefinitely. We will still pursue opening the Cafe some day, but for the moment the Cafe is on pause.

Thanks so much for all your support and I hope you'll stay with me on this rollercoaster ride called life 💗

Hi everyone,

As mentioned in a previous post, each day I will be selecting a local business to support. I seem to only be able to post every few days or so with everything going on so here are the latest.

Let's do what we can to help each other through this.

I've been having a really hard time trying to keep up with everything going on. My purchases are more sporadic now, but I'll keep trying to do what I can. I've also started to include donations to my daily "purchases". It's all about giving where I can. I hope that we can all help each other out through this and that we come out stronger in the end.

April 21 - It was finally time for my husband to have some pampering so placed an order with Like Grandpa Grooming Products. Ken and Keenyn even included a nice thank you note in the package. I love seeing these little touches added in when shopping local.

April 22 - We discovered Filistix on another post about local restaurants and I'm so glad we did! I'm actually half Filipino so finding a local business that made some of the traditional meals I grew up with was amazing! I especially loved the turon!

April 23 - We will be enjoying fresh produce this summer from Riverbend Gardens! I can't wait for our first package in July!

April 24 - Sometimes you just need a good donair, so we made a quick run over to Simply Donairs! It was so good!

April 25 - Missed a day. We'll make it up at some point I'm sure :)

April 26 - I was craving more goodies from Cookie Crumbs. This time we ordered a little more so we could enjoy for a little longer

April 27 - We're all stocked up for our summer BBQs thanks to Fat Franks! Can't wait to spark up the BBQ and enjoy some of those delicious franks!

April 18 - Spring cleanup when you have a large dog like us is a BIG job, so we reached out to The Doody Hunters for a spring cleanup. It's a huge relief to be able to enjoy our yard now that it's getting nicer out!

April 19 - We ordered more LOVEPIZZA! I think we're getting close to being regulars 🤣

April 20 - I made some yummy chocolate-zucchini muffins for the Skills Society: Supporting the Citizenship of People with Disabilities. Even if you're not able to donate financially, there are still lots of opportunities to donate in other ways!

April 11 - missed this day unfortunately, and haven't caught up yet

April 12 - I finally bought myself a "Support Local" pin from Prairie Chick Prints, and mug too cause I love my coffee 😄

April 13 - Speaking of coffee, you should check out Anvil Coffee House! These guys do a great job at making environmental choices, like their mason jars of coffee beans. I bought us some reusable filters (coffee socks!).

April 14 - I bought myself some more fun yarn from The Fibre Nook and some heels and toes to protect my slipper socks that I've been wearing around the house. I also managed to get some help in picking out some special yarn for a project I'm now working on. More on that later 😉

April 15 - We made a donation to Canadian Red Cross. We're all in this together, so let's try to help each other where we can.

April 16 - Another one of our favourite sources for coffee here in Edmonton is Ace Coffee Roasters. We have some great local roasters here in Edmonton, it makes it hard to pick just one, so we tend to sample from them all 😜
