The Minga

The Minga Community Space. Plant-based, Organic Cafè. 📍Dunnville, Ontario. The Minga is a not-for-profit D.R.E.A.M. program. meetings and events.

The Minga is an inclusive, welcoming space where people of all ages can come together to enjoy healthy, locally sourced, organic, handcrafted food and fairtrade, organic coffee. The Minga hosts many programs, including all D.R.E.A.M. DREAM is a community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is to build the community's capacity to empower youth to reach their academic potential, discover

their passions and as a result touch people’s lives in a positive way. Expanding a student's circles of awareness, dream's curriculum focuses on: Self-Awareness (year one); Community Awareness (year two); Social Awareness (year three); and, Post-Secondary Readiness (year four). This is done through a four-year mentorship program from grade 9 to graduation, along with civic engagement through DREAM's working groups:
1. Global Literacy Program including the Ek Balam, Mexico Field School, and DREAM Raising Awareness Film & Speaker series.
2. MindShift Environmental Program,
3. Caring Community Group including the DSS Breakfast Program
4. Social Entrepreneurship Program based on people & the planet before profits and including a Social Media Development Program. In November of 2013, DREAM moved into its own community centre building, The Minga (which means "the coming together for the common good").

A second exhibit of prolific artist Diana Hinman is now on display at the Minga. A beautiful curation has been thoughtfully done for her very special pieces. The collection includes her signature irises, geraniums, Port Colborne steam ships, one very special piece of a Dunnville historical building plus other scenes of people at a bus stop and old vintage tins on a shelf. Stop by and enjoy a cappuccino while admiring her display on now until September 15th.
