We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our First Responders, Fire Fighters, Police and the Emergency Management Team for their efficient response to today’s tragedy in our little neighbourhood 🙏🏻
Thank you to the CVRD for immediately offering to pay for all the food and beverages people needed 💖
We feel blessed to have the Fishbowl as a way to serve our community, and it was a privilege to hold space for our neighbours (many who walk through our doors daily and many new faces as well).
To the families who lost loved ones and those in hospital, we are deeply saddened by this news and grieve with you ❤️🩹

Now that those displaced have been aided in finding safe spaces to stay, the next layer of needs will become priority in the following weeks.
We want to let the professionals do their jobs without interference at this time, as we know that unnecessary donations can sometimes be extra work for them to sort out.
There appears to be groups already taking the initiative to gather items and find out what’s needed, and we are so grateful for those who have the time and capacity to begin this process 💓
Please know that we will keep our generous community updated on any opportunities we are made aware for aid, whether it be clothes or food etc.
Thank you again to our community for being apart of The Fishbowl family for almost 10 years!
