The countdown is ON!

We’re excited to announce that Hometown Street Eats is the official food trailer of the CKNX Centennial Lounge at the International Plowing Match & Rural Expo in Walkerton.

We’re firing up the grill one day early. Join us Monday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. for juicy smash burgers and more. Then, the IPM officially kicks off Tuesday, September 22!

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE TO EVENT ORGANIZERS ⚠️

Due to the alarming increase in email fraud targeting food vendors this summer, particularly scammers requesting deposits for events—Hometown Street Eats has updated its payment policy.

We will not send deposits or other payments until we have verified the identity of the organizer and confirmed that they are officially authorized to represent the event.

An initial email is perfectly acceptable, although an official business or event email address is strongly preferred over Gmail, Hotmail or similar accounts. Before any payment is issued, direct contact and independent verification will be required.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause legitimate organizers. Unfortunately, the actions of a few bad actors have already caused significant financial harm to vendors, and we must take reasonable steps to protect our family business.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Legitimate, professional event organizers should have no difficulty completing this simple verification process.

Hometown Street Eats will be a vendor at the 189th Fergus Fall Fair on:

📍 Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex

If you’re heading to the fair for the agriculture, community, education, and tradition… make sure you swing by and grab a bite too 😄

We’ll be serving up that hometown comfort food with a gourmet twist:
