Here in Southwestern Nova Scotia we are under a cold warning..and believe us when we say it’s COLD!

NS winters make us long for summer days on our beautiful deck, serving food, and spending time chatting with you all! The sun beats down warming the deck, the salty air whirls around with it brings whiffs of Debbie’s Famous Chowder, Scallop rolls, bacon on the grill, fresh rolls, cookies and so much more!!!

If you’ve been to our cafe thats snuggled into the rocks, sitting waterfront, you can already picture yourself sitting here and those amazing smells!

There is a famous saying that says, The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

Everyday when we turn on the open sign and hang the flags we invite the world in to spend time with us! We are so very blessed to meet each new guest, to serve so many awesome people who love to share their stories of vacations and adventures and life.

We are absolutely certain we have the very best group of regulars too- from our breakfast visitors, to our Sandy cove and Whale cove friends, and everyone in between! We get the visitors with the very best smiles who are grabbing coffee, ice cream, food to go, or just looking for information. You all make our jobs one we love…one that allows us to do great work. ♥️

When checking people in for Whale Watching, we saw people from all parts of our great country of Canada, darn near every part of the USA, some from Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland and too many other places to name! Every single person said how beautiful our province is and how friendly the people are. We feel such pride talking about our home, Nova Scotia!

This summer we had a fabulous staff! In the Cafe, we had three teens that worked so hard that it would have made it impossible to run the place without them. We are so very thankful for their dedication and amazing ability to serve food, scoop ice cream, and handle everything thrown at them!

When we say we love our cafe, our business, we mean we LOVE them! We hope every time you come see us, or read one of our posts that you feel all that love!

Thank you for making us part of your journey, for letting us be part of the story you’ll share with family and friends. Thank you for eating with us, whale watching with us, including us in your adventure in 2025!
