After a large Christmas dinner, there's nothing better than a light, tart, lemon mousse topped with homemade lemon curd. I recently tried store-bought lemon curd and it was nothing like homemade. Lemon curd is also a great way to use up excess eggs; although my girls haven't been too generous lately 😉. Hope the family enjoys this as much as I do tomorrow! Best of all, it's make-ahead so everything's done except the whipped cream just before serving. 🍋

Picked up some microgreens today and added them to my usual cucumber, tomato, feta salad. Love that they are grown right here so I decided to sign up for a weekly "green" basket from Local by Atta. So glad that their baskets are totally customizable; as big or as small as you want and no wasted "what the heck is this" stuff. Best of all, their discard greens go to some very happy chickens 🐔🥰 Can't wait for Tuesday's pickup!

We had such a great time at Crooked River Distillery - Distillerie this evening! The kids loved their lemonade and pretzel with Nutella dip, and the chickens were just an added bonus! Please excuse the double glasses, I'm that age now 🤓

Taking a break from working on a chicken diaper order to see our first Monarch visitors of the season! Not the greatest pictures but I'm excited just the same. Nothing gets planted here if it's not geared toward hummingbirds, bees, or butterflies. I planted this milkweed several years ago. It's kind of taken over this part of the garden but I don't mind because I have learned so much about Monarchs and what an amazing little creature they are! Added a couple bonus pictures at the end; Buddy who loves to drive with us everywhere; Jax who always makes me laugh when he lays like that on any corner he can find; and a couple pics for anyone who is interested in seeing my or !
