backporch is a collaboration between two local businesses who care deeply about this community - Barnside Brewing and L’aromas.

Barnside Brewing Co. was built on a simple idea: great beer starts with great ingredients - many of them grown right here on their Delta farms. For the past six years, they’ve been bringing people together through locally crafted beer, one conversation at a time.

L'aromas has long been part of the daily rhythm of Delta - serving coffee, baking fresh pastries, and creating a place where mornings begin and neighbours connect.

At backporch, these two local teams are coming together to bring that same care to the waterfront with handcrafted food and bevies from sunrise to sunset.

Local craft.
Shared tables.
Community.

There’s something special about Ladner’s waterfront.

For generations, this village has been shaped by the Fraser River - by fishing boats, farmland, and neighbours who take the time to say hello.

When we started imagining backporch, it felt important that the space reflect that same spirit.

Simple, welcoming, and rooted in the community.
A place where people can gather, share a bite, enjoy a beverage, and watch the river move by.

We’re honoured to become a small part of the story of this wharf, and this village.
