🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨

In the coming days and weeks you will notice some changes on our social media channels and on our website.

We've been managing Juniper BBQ Scraper and The BBQ Emporium separately but the time has come to bring them back together.

In hindsight we probably shouldn't have created two separate identities as it has become confusing to manage. We should have rebranded Juniper BBQ Scraper to be The BBQ Emporium. Now that we have learned from our misstep, we're going to attempt to correct our path forward.

The first change you will notice is that we will no longer be posting on The BBQ Emporium FB and IG social media channels. These channels are going to be deprecated and all future updates will take place over on:

FB - Juniper BBQ Scraper
IG -

The next change you'll notice is that our website will be undergoing an update. We will be transitioning from JuniperBBQScraper -dot- com to TheBBQEmporium -dot- com with an updated look.

Last but not least, the Juniper BBQ Scraper social media channels will be rebranded to be The BBQ Emporium. This step will be a little tricky but with some guidance and luck, we will make it happen. :-)

Be sure to follow us on:

Are you missing the taste of grilled food during the winter season? Fear not! Here are the top 5 winter grilling tips to help you enjoy delicious grilled meals even when it's cold outside:

• Clean your grill before use: A clean grill is essential to ensure that your food cooks evenly and tastes great. Make sure to clean your grill thoroughly, including the grates and burners, before starting to grill.

• Preheat the grill: Preheating the grill is crucial, especially during the winter months when the temperature is lower. Preheating helps to get the grill up to the right temperature and ensures that your food cooks evenly.

• Choose the right cuts of meat: When grilling in the winter, it's important to choose cuts of meat that are suitable for the colder weather. Choose thicker cuts of meat like ribeye or pork chops that will take longer to cook and can withstand the lower temperatures.

• Use a meat thermometer: Using a meat thermometer is crucial when grilling in the winter. It will help you ensure that your meat is cooked to the correct temperature, reducing the risk of undercooked or overcooked meat.

• Invest in a grill cover: A grill cover is an essential accessory for winter grilling. It will help protect your grill from the elements, such as snow, rain, and wind, and ensure that your grill is ready to use whenever you need it.

Don't let the cold weather stop you from enjoying your favorite grilled meals. With these winter grilling tips, you can continue to savor the taste of perfectly grilled food all year round. Happy grilling!

After a busy few months of outdoor cooking, it's time to give your grill or smoker a thorough cleaning.

As you disassemble the equipment, check for damage and either repair or replace those items. It's now time to clean.

Remove any unused fuel (charcoal or pellets) and then scrape and vacuum out all the burnt and crusty bits. Next use a quality degreaser to give everything a deep clean. Many newer models of grills and smokers have built in probes and sensors; be sure to pay particular attention to cleaning these.

Give the cooking grates extra attention. First use a degreaser and then wash with soapy water. You may need to do this a few times and you'll know when the water is clear the grates look like new.

Yes it's a lot of work but it will be worth it. Your equipment will last longer and will operate at peak performance.

Happy Grilling!
