We now have our debit and credit working! Phones will hopefully work next week. Thanks so much for your patience!

Just a quick update. We are still working on a solution with our payment and phone services. It’s still cash payments only and phones are still down. We are still very much open, dining room as usual and walk-ins for take-out... sorry again for the confusion /inconvenience.

Due to the work being done at the opposite end of the strip mall, we will possibly be without phone/debit usage for tomorrow (at least). Which means -cash only, and walk-ins for take-out. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, as we try to resolve the issue. Thank you for your continued support, as we gear up to party like it’s 1889.

To our valued customers,

In the recent months, numerous operating costs have significantly increased. Many products including cooking oil, produce, packaging, etc. have gone up greatly. Most recently, haddock, from our main supplier, has increased over 40 percent per pound. As a business, it is impossible to absorb these costs without making some changes. In order to keep giving you the same quality and portion sizes that you expect, we must increase our menu prices. We know that every dollar counts, and we appreciate all of your patronage. We hope you understand and we thank you for your continued support.

We will be closed today for Canada Day, and will reopen tomorrow! 🇨🇦

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow for Good Friday, we will be open regular hours. Full menu and dine-in will be until 3pm. After 3pm we will be switching to take-out only, and will be offering a condensed menu.

Due to the high volume of orders we will stop taking phone orders after 4, In-person ordering after that.

The menu will consist of our seafood dishes (not inc. seafood platter), and chicken fingers/chicken nuggets for a non-seafood option.

🙂

After several weeks of extensive restoration, we are ready to safely open our doors again. Thursday, March 5th, we welcome back all of our staff and wonderful customers. Thank you for your patience. Tommy will miss his afternoons with Momma watching Young and the Restless, but is excited to see daylight again…see you all soon!

Further update -

It appears that unfortunately, the diner will likely close for 2-3 weeks. The clean-up process is extensive and we must make sure that the diner is free of any lingering toxins when we open up. A team experienced in fire restoration will be working on-site for the next while. The safety of our staff and customers is paramount. This is just a blip, one of a few we’ve encountered over the years. Through all of this, you, the customer has stood by us. We appreciate your patience and support. We will keep updating on here as soon as details emerge … (Tommy is disappointed he won’t get to dress up as Cupid on Valentine’s Day 😔). Love to all, we’ll see you soon!

As many of you know, the opposite unit of the plaza was damaged due to fire last night. The diner, structurally, is ok but we did incur some smoke damage. It is necessary that we professionally clean the premises before re-opening. We will be closed on Tuesday, and if there are further closures we will keep you updated. We would like to thank the first responders who handled the blaze and stopped it from spreading to the other operating businesses. Thankfully no one was hurt or injured. Without their efforts, the situation would have been much worse. Thank you to all the customers who reached out and expressed concern. We deeply appreciate you all... We will see you soon.
