I thought we might all like a little good news popping up! ☀️
Back in the summer, many of you supported Eli J, my fiesty 6 year old ‼️ He had a lemonade stand on John Stewart called Sips N Chips. 🍋
Eli had never met his grandparents before and upon realizing that it takes money to go all the way to Morocco 🇲🇦 he decided he was going to make the money for his own ticket. Sips N Chips was born!
Eli was born with a mess of rare medical conditions leaving him unable to breathe. He had a trach and we made the best if it. It was tough but we knew there was a good chance he'd be healthy some day. It was too risky to fly with him and very shortly after he was medically stable, covid hit. We began to believe his grandparents would never meet the grandson who defeated ALL of the odds. 💔
We're thrilled to announce that we donated half of your generous contributions to the IWK foundation, let Eli buy a tablet, and put the rest right on his ticket to Casablanca!! 🇲🇦
As I write this, I'm at the Halifax International waiting for Eli and Hamouda to come home. 🇨🇦 Of course they were scheduled to return in the eye of Fiona 🌀😂
